Korean comfort women were just prostitutes worked for money, because of poverty. Prostitution was not rare in those days, also in Japan, not only in Korea.
Korean society pretended such poverty didn't exist. Ordinary Korean people called those pitty old women as "dirty whore", "bitchs serviced to Japs" and etc.
But after 1990s, they have started to treat comfort women as "symbol of pains shich whole Koreans suffered" or "heroins of tragedy". What hypocrites they are !

It is a false anti-Japanese propaganda.
Look at JeongShinDae (The Korean council for the women Drafted for Military Sexual Slavery by Japan) a South Korean NGO. Its representative, Yoon MiHyang is a sympathizer of North Korea.
North Korea intends to make South Korea to fight against Japan, for their invasion purpose.
Don't be deceived by North Korean ! Don't destroy allied partnership between US, South Korea and Japan. Mike Honda, pretending liberal, helped North Korean intrigue.

Korean men sold their daughters for money as comfort women. That was why they have just sitting and watching when their daughters were taken away.
It is a shame for Koreans, and that is why they are trying to shift all responsibility to Japanese now.

Comfort women were not forced, it was a business! Back then prostitution was legal.
if Japanese gov have to apologize, then a bunch of other countries should have to apologize for their wrong doings as well. there were comfort stations were everywhere at every war! if youre going to get involved in this and youre American, dont half-assed get involved, learn the facts so you understand the issue completely!
