I am glad we, Western European Carp Hunters show a lot more respect for carp - e.g. carp safe rigs, unhooking mats, carp care, barbless hooks, etc.

Carp are native to your waters, and don't do nearly as much damage to your ecosystem. While you have conceded this already, there are far less humane methods in practice in the states. Killing a fish with an arrow is much less horrible than catching them, cutting their gill rakers and letting them free to die a slow painful death, which is a common practice in my neck of the woods. Not one that I partake in, but still.
