  • and where can i get a pink flash?

  • Were can i get the photo paper online?

  • Thanks so much for the video! it's makes everything so clear! I have exactly the same diana And an fuji instax mini camera so I don't need the instant back but I really wanted to know this!

  • hi! amazing video! where can i buy the photo paper?

  • Thank you for this video! I'm considering getting a Diana and can't decide on getting either the 35 mm back or the instant..I can't afford both at the moment aha what would you reccommend for a first timer?(:

  • Hii!! thanks for explaining that . I'd love to buy it but I think I'll do it much more later.. . I've just got the Diana F+ cmyk Deluxe Kit.. and I want to learn more because i'm a begginner :)

  • If you want to take pinhole pictures set the shutter speed to b and then take a pictures for at least a couple of seconds up to minutes depending on the light situation.

If you want to use the diana flash put a paper tissue in front of the flash and use it as a diffusor.

  • Oh and as far as taking it out into the world... I find it a bit cumbersom and would prefer the Fuji Mini Poloroid instead. That being said I do go out w my Blackbird Fly so who knows. I have 2 fisheye

  • Yay You! The Instaback was a recent bday gift adding to my collection if Lomo love. I experienced the same frustrations as u dis locating info until I found you... Thanks to u my 9th shot worked!

  • hi, please answer this... i'm thinking of buying one of these cameras from urban outfitters but i'm so confused.. yours is instant back and it looks the exact same as the one on urban outfitters but the one on there doesn't say in the description that it is instant back?? is yours a special type? also do i have to buy the film on urban outfitters if i just have a normal non instant back one, or can i buy it from normal shops? thaaaanks xxxxx

  • That's an adorable camera -.-

  • Thx for all the tips & advices! really usefull.. I have heard a lot of bad comments about the instant back, but now I know why... it's because they don't know how to use it! maybe someday i'll buy one

  • turn on the flash, use the n setting, and only use bulb at night or with a seprate non synced flash (oldschool flash method) or when shooting pinhole with a calculated exposure of over 1 sec.

  • what is the name of the film you have to buy? @AubrellaDorkella

  • Can you tell me about your 365 day picture project? It sounds really cool! Was it for school or just for fun?

  • great review. I'm stil not sure if I want one.

  • hey, did you get the flash with the diana f+?

  • Can you take the flash off?

  • Comment removed

  • heyyy i have got a instax mini! and to be honest with u all time long i thought diana uses normal film?(or i mean not instax)? but anyway i love it! im so getting one~~

thank you for the review! and can the mini instax film use on the diana F+? or is the other size of film? it does looks like the same size to me?thank you really!xx

  • OMG your is sooo cute.

  • That was a really well done demonstration! I think for anyone who needs help with n and b shutter speeds and the aperture, it helps to know that the n speed should work in the daytime with the right aperture set (cloudy, sunny and the one in between), or with flash indoors and then the aperture depends on the iso of your film (instax mini is 800) so I would say the sunny or in between setting, which let the least light in, would work best. If you were using 100 iso film the cloudy (or brightest

  • hi i just bought a Diana f instant back, all the photos i take are really blurry and out of focus and i watched your video and its not helping your photos are really clear and in focus can you help me ?

  • hi i just bought a Diana f instant back, all the photos i take are really blurry and out of focus and i watched your video and its not helping your photos are really clear and in focus can you help me ?

  • Hello, I know with normal film in the diana F+ you need to put it on the N setting or else it will be blury. you said for the instant back to put the settings to B not N, but is that just because you have it on a tripod? do you still use the B setting when you holding it and walking around etc?

  • Hi(:

    Please answer this;

Okay so I wanna get the Diana F+ Mr. pink.

    So I have some questions

1, can you send me the link to the photo paper on the website?

2 do the cameras come with film inside? And is there a link where to buy more film?

3 can you buy the paper or film at a drugstore or Walmart or anything?

    Please replyy-3 thanks!

  • @RachelSchneida I will send the link to paper in your inbox.

The camera does not come with film and neither does the Instant Back. You have to buy it all separate. Also, as far as I know, major retail stores such as Wal-mart or any drug stores do not carry the film. However, Urban Outfitters does carry Instax film for a very high price. (I think it is about $5-6 more than online).

I hope I answered your questions well enough! Let me know if you have any more!

  • may i know this diana F+ can be attach with the fish eye?

  • Hello, sorry for the question, it may seem a litlle stupid.

But with the Diana F+ Instant Back, it's possible to take pictures with a 120mm film, or you can only take pictures with the instant back?

  • A fewwww questions.

    How much is this?

Do you have to pay extra for the paper?

Can the film still be developed when it's finished even while using the back at the same time?

  • hi.. just want 2 ask... could i get double image using instant film?

  • @bobhafis Yes, you absolutely can! All you have to do is push the shutter twice :)

Just make sure that you take your initial picture of something darker than the second exposure, otherwise you wont be able to tell it was a double image

  • Thanks! this was super helpful!

  • thanks for this video! :)

  • Zatch bell :D

  • Thank you !!! You really helped us out ! We wasted the first film with all black and all white pictures :)

  • Hi I manage to get nice photo. Thank you for your advise. It was really fun shooting photo on Chinese New Year using Instant Back. I has another question? I am not sure on my view finder the object in in center. But my photo turn out very right side. Some of my cousin face was cut off. How do I really make sure is in the center? Although I really wasted quite a bit. Heee

  • wow! thanks for your indoor photography tutorial. i don't really know if i can use the flash with the Bulb setting.

  • Hi I got an instant back 2 week ago. Has trying to tale picture with it. If I don't on the flash the picture will be in black. But times when I on the flash I look very fair. Do you know what should I do? Can I use diana instant back without flash?

  • @fifnethefish you can use it without the flash just as long as you have the bulb setting on and you hold down on the shutter for a few seconds. It will take a bit of practice, but you should be able to get really nice pictures after you get it down :)

  • Oh, also! LOL, in my reading regarding the people who are afraid to carry the camera around and accidentally taking a picture. I'm not sure if this is true, but I've read that as long as the lense cap is on your film will not be exposed, and that makes sense, because no light would get in. So as long as you have your lense cap you could carry this with you.

  • @courtneymg93 your right. it's just common sense.

  • Hey, it's me again. I get my camera tomorrow and the instant back; it just arrived where I live and will be delivered tomorrow! I'm so excited that I've already started buying film. LOL.

I was just wondering what kind of other instant film you use because I'm having a hard time finding the Fuji Instanx film, but there is the Polaroid 300 Instant Mini film around here, only the demensions are off like, .2 cms. IDK if that will matter too much, but it does make me nervous.

  • thank you for the review. really helped.

  • thank you for the review. really helped.

  • Awesome review, thanks! I'm thinking of buying a Diana F+ with an instant back, but I have some questions about the chemicals and toxicity, since I have a really bad phobia for chemicals and stuff... so what I wonder is, is it "dangerous" and can you get chemical burns from touching the photo when it's processing/after it's processed? I'm not asking you to like try and see what happens, just wondering if it says so on the instant film-package or something? Thanks!

  • Ahh Wow. I'm So Getting One Now. XD

  • Thank you so much for your review! I'm planning on getting the Diana Deluxe Kit with an Instant back so that I can practice techniques and see the results right away. I'm glad you showed how to use it.

  • @courtneymg93 thank you for taking the time to watch :D

i am so jealous that you are getting the deluxe kit!!!

let me know how you like the instant back :p

  • @courtneymg93 i'm afraid the kit deluxe doesn't include the instant back+ but only the instant back.

  • I have the same edition as yours , and going to get an instant back too :) yay!

  • @deuxavri1 CMYK edition FTW! enjoy your instant back and let me know if you have any questions :)

  • Thx for sharing... I'm thinking of buying one :-)

  • OMG! You have a spellbook! :D I have one too! XD My mamaodo shall prevail! lmao jk jk but cool! And the camera on top of that!!!

  • thanx alot this helped me big time =)

would like to see more videos about instant back though.. different settings and lightings =) would be interesting!

  • But could you tell me how to load the film into the back ?

But this film was still very helpfull.

    thank you ˆ-ˆ

  • thank you SO much for this video. I was wondering.. with the instant back, do you need film in the camera itself or just the instant back? thanks! :)

  • Very informative and good video. I have one, absolutely love it, but like you, hate the black edges before a black photo appears! It's quite hit and miss in different light situations but I love finding it out.

  • thankyou sweety!!!!!! woop woop just got three nice pics with my new glow in the dark diana + instant back. really helpful video, hi from the UK. <3

  • WOW...i dont want to buy it but thanks anyway...the information and all that...go go and make more videos about the diana =D.

  • ykno a DSLR is MUCH cheaper. but i want this camera too! haha. did you get the CMYK deluxe kit or did you buy everything separately?

  • i meant a DSLR is a much cheaper option to do a 365day project. cuz you've got a 4gb SD card that hold 800+ photos instead of buying new instant film like every 10days.

  • Thanks, Aubere!!! This totally helped me out.

  • Wanted to say you are a god send! I totally went through one roll of film and then I found you! Thank you so much!!!!!

    -Jade

  • very helpful! thankyou!

  • awesome! I love your passion for this little pieces of art. do you have a lomohome?

  • how does this work? i do not quiter understand, thank you =_=

  • may i know if we can do a overlapping of photos using the diana? and is there a similar one for holgas? because i only saw the one that is not automatic and requires the polaroid film which is really troublesome...

  • If you use the N setting, you dont have to hold the shutter anymore. Why? If you try opening your diana's back and you try pressing the shutter, it closes automatically no matter how long you press the shutter. Unless you use the B setting, you dont have to hold it on N setting.

  • this was extremely helpful!!! nicely done!!

  • You are awesome. Love the video :). I was thinking of getting the Diana F+ and the Instant back for my dad who loves polaroids (but he already has a polaroid camera). I know you said that you wouldn't recommend this as a gift, but do you think that the 70s generation would be into it? Any feedback would be appreciated...Keep up the photo journal :).

  • Thanks for the video. Really helped. Cos I'm considering an instant back but I'm the kinda person who loves to bring camera around. I dont know, but maybe I'll get both instant back and instax mini ;) Oh, can you post more pics taken by diana F+ instant back? thanks <3

  • why would it go off by mistake?

  • what a lovely project! must be expensive though!

  • i just have a question about the instant back! if you get the instant back and print out the pictures does that mean you can't get the film developed?

  • YOU ARE AWESOM!! nawr omgs i'm so enviouse of your cmyk OMGS i want one :) i ordered my instant back its in the mail im so excited to get it :) how long have you had your diana for?

  • helpful!

  • Nice vid, thanks. I want one of these but I'm only new to Diana.

  • Thanks for posting this! It was nice to see the back in action before purchasing it. In case you haven't figured it out already I think the pinhole setting won't work because there's not enought light reaching the film. Try longer exposure times! I will definetly buy one for myself. :-)

  • this is really helpful, thanks.

  • nice video! very informative.

  • Cute and helpful!

    Thanks! :-)

  • where did you buy your camera and instant back?

  • Hey, as you will see I've posted a videoresponse, but I think it kind of got caught off at the end haha, anyway, just wanted to thank you for your video :p

  • oh and where did you buy your actual camera from and for how much?

  • Awesome do you know if it works on the mini? or if they have one for the mini?

  • @GleeAus No, it doesn't fit the Diana Mini. Currently, there is no instant back for the mini.

  • yeah thanks for this it was pretty helpful. i'm new to this but it's SO AWESOME. =]

  • nice one for puting this up. i was thinkin of geting my g.f. one for her 21st as i have a instax mini and she has a holger nd stuff. if i get her one ill let you know what its like.. :)
