  • Thanks for uploading; Zhang is in her prime now, and it is always a joy to watch her tremendous mastery of opera technique, and listen to her. I could listen to this forever...this one is a treasure of Teochew Opera; they do not compose such arias anymore....

  • @OperafanSingapore Can't agree more. Beautiful arias like this are rare, if not absent, in today's compostitions. The old masters had set the exacting standards, and it is indeed a tough act to follow. At the very least, we can take comfort from the fact that there are young performers who are able to perform these classical works to a high level of competency.
