Theres a difference between understanding music and simply listenting to it. Those who are able to appreciate this kind of music, will be able to understand anything from modern, but people that are ONLY limited to this will never be able to understand Classical.They all cause different feelings, I do listen to moden music, and the knowledge of the music structure allows you to distinguish good from bad, but you can't even compare them with Mozart's genious work.

I love classical music, but I also listen to the Black Keys, the Beatles, Radiohead, Maroon 5, Paul Simon, Lady Gaga, Phoenix, etc. etc. etc. If I hear a song I like, I listen to it. I don't think I'm better than anyone else because I listen to one type of music EXCLUSIVELY, nor do I insult anyone else's taste. (I don't care what you say, Justin Bieber actually CAN sing.
