1) Critics hated the fact that these kids missed 40 days of school

2) I read somewhere that 4 kids accually drink bleach from an unmarked bottle (I think it was season 2)

3) Someone was suing Kid Nation becuase they got hurt.

It's because the show got a lot of bad reviews from people saying that it was cruel to the kids to put them in these conditions for 40 days with little adult contact. Personally, I'd like to see a 'Teen Nation', with 13-16 year olds only so they are more mature. That'd solve problems.

@MatthewOhio Teens are often less mature than these kids are and personally I'd hate to see a "teen nation" because you'd have more physical fights where the adults would have to get involved, more pointless selfish drama, etc. I'm not trying to insult teens, but with all the hormones at that age it's pretty much bound to be a train wreck.

I liked it with kids, the point was that while naive they had an innocence (most of them) that could make the town work

while sophia and morgan totally deserved the gold stars, i think anjay and mike were definitely underrated. they put in a great load of effort and dealt with a lot of crap which they did not deserve.

also if michael wasn't in the position to elect the winners, i'd think he's totally deserving of the gold star too.
