This is the 1992 body shell. In real the life car they had this body style till 1997.Then they started in 1998 with the body style you see on crown victoria today.
Does anyone know why Maryland State Police ALWAYS mount their lights ass backwards LOL? It's supposed to be RED/BLUE but for some odd reason they perfer BLUE/RED XD.
Hehe well I have good areas to do so, at my friend's house, he has an old playground set, so I can use the slide as a natural ramp.... we put 5 big cars at the bottom and it jumped all 5 of them, then hit a leg of a trampolie, lol. Or I could improvise using stuff in the garage. Both work very well. I just need a camera...
Thanks dude I'll ask my mom if I can buy one, and have fun with the GT-500. I like to improve cars as well. Like when the bumper on my R/C blue buick regal started to come off, I added strips of duct tape in key locations. Then I taped on a bull bar from an old light and sound buttoned Humvee I dismantled. Now I drive the regal off road, and take it off jumps! It's got huge rims... so that helps :)
GT-500's are sweet, can't wait for it! :D Why didn't the model companies think of the idea of forming both the fun factor of the RC car with the true cops n' robbers factor with the working lights? It only makes sense! I'm glad people are making them, it's a tribute of what the police car model should have been. What's your site address? Or do you have stuff on ebay?
Neither right now. I sell more privately which is pretty cool i think. My email is sdub442@hotmaildotcom but the real site is still in the workings. If the model companies made these then i would still improve on their product:) That's just how i am. Calling it a day now, chat later:)
Dude, your cars are seriously AWESOME!!! Not only do they have working lights, you can drive them around! Cops and Robbers anyone? I have an NYPD CV, same body style as this one, the "aero" look. It would make me extrememly happy if I could drive it around, with working lights. Is there a tutorial anywhere? What will I need? Thanks for any help you can give me. I have always wanted to have cars like this... the way they are meant to be!
I want to thank you again for the nice comments you have! I stay so busy with these customs, my wife and 2 boys, my full time job and replying to comments here that i am afraid a tutorial is out of the equation:( All i can do is accept pre-paid orders to build my website and squat the Frontier on Deuces. When i show the 1/10 scale GT 500 with racing stripes i will have taken it to a whole new level! I'm always open to good ideas, shoot me something original my friend!
dude!!! how much will u sell one 4? u should make a Dodge Charger with a Maryland State Police paint job!!! I would definetley buy one!!!!!!! u are skilled man!!! keep up the great work dude!!! 5 stars for every car!!!
not rly i was too astounded that you could do this. if u can do a MASP one for me and somehow have it under 40$, I might be able to. Or, I could work a lot but this is a awesome one of a kind thing to have a R/C Crown Vic! Too bad Jada didn't take my request to make one. Oh well, big companies hardly ever do :)
Plus it is better in my opinion to own a one of a kind creation instead of something that looks nice but came off the assembly line. Sorry but this car costs over $50 just to build. It takes two to make one.
yeah... thats what I thought. So this one is like something you keep as your pride and joy? I assume that would make sense. I don't drive my customs, I don't even know where the remotes are :) I am afraid I will break them. I keep them in model car display cases, and take them out to play with the lights from time to time. they are MY pride.
Clearly one of the baddest ass things I've seen in a long time. The production values are also awesome. You do some of the best work we have ever seen, truly a custom model. 5 Stars all the way!
You know, some of these guys rip them out of toys, but we have been working with a guy that makes them on chips and they are more realistic and dont say things or have tire screeching. Its funny you ask, b/c we were going to shoot a vid of one in action and have peole lets us know what they think of it.
