My personal opinion. I believe Jackson staged his death because his pre-sales for concert tickets failed to meet executives numbers. The man of so much plastic surgery once black and now white lol could have easily pulled a Mission Impossible switch faked his death and now bam! All his merchandise sells. far fetched? I'm carzy to believe such a thing? Is Osama really dead? Did the US Government have someting to do with the 9/11 attacks?

The only reason why so many Thriller albums were purchased wholesale to corporate merchants was due to his death and the fact that people were estimated to buy his merchandise as collectibles. November 1, 2000 Jackson's Thriller was at 26 million copies and on Novemeber 8, 2000 The Eagles Greatest Hits was at 27 million copies. Very cute indeed lol!

It's only estimated at this time that Thriller has hit the 110 Million mark and is not confirmed by Soundscan. The Eagles Greatest Hits still hold the title even world wide sorry!

Nielsen Sound Scan confirms these sales by the UPC/bar code registered to the product and can confirm worldwide sales legitimately. Again these numbers you keep obtaining are estimated by RIAA and the media due to the millions of copies pre-ordered by retailers to make a profit off of Jackson's death. Wikipedia is not a reliable source for one to obatin info for a debate like this lol.

1. U2 - 360 Tour = $6.8 Million

2. Rolling Stones - A Bigger Bang Tour = $3.8 Million

2. AC*DC - Black Ice World Tour = $2.6 Million

70 million alleged copies sold but Jackson coudn't muster up a mere 20,000 at a concert. Smells like fish in here..lol

"The criteria are that the album must have been published (including self-publishing by the artist), and the album must have SHIPPED at least 10 million units in the United States." Shipped NOT sold! Soundscan is only for US and Canada so for world wide sales those numbers are estimated. ;)
