I have to disagree but you do make a good point that "in history, many chinese immigrants were considered spineless". The real question, who considered them spineless? Themselves? Others? Do you really think it's spineless to leave their family and go work abroad to send back money home, or start a new future, putting up with exclusionary acts, unlawful taxes (they weren't even citizens but still had to pay tax like slaves)?

A big stereotype of asians are "unable to speak up or defend themselves". In history, many chinese immigrants were considered spineless. Asians are associated with the color yellow...yellow can symbolize "cowardice". To fight the stereotype, they're speaking up.

Yea...racisim against asians isn't as common as others...nonetheless it's still important. I think that's the point their trying to make.

I don't think that "the point" is a scoreboard of who gets more racism than who, I think it's more to raise awareness of the issues. In relation to that I personally feel that awareness of racism towards asians is lower than any other race, but I guess that depends on what part of the U.S. you live in.
