One of my favorite albums. Good review by Steve Huey above. I first heard this album in 1970 when I was 15 and it was very hard to get a copy of then. It had already become an underground cult hit shrouded in mystic and anyone with a copy then highly cherished it. We saw it as a supreme statement of pure weirdness. One thing that nobody seems to mention, it's the only album of his that be did not play harmonica on. I read somewhere that he forgot to bring his harmonicas to the recording session.
