  • When I was little, I used to watch this movie and wonder why my mother wouldn't let me brush my teeth the way Shirley did.

  • this by far the best in my openiuon

  • 7:53 is one of my favorite parts of this movie :)

Come along and follow me, To the bottom of the sea,

We'll join in the JAMBOREE, At the codfish ball,

Lobsters dancing in a row, Shuffle off to Buffalo,

Jellyfish sway too and fro, at the codfish ball ! :)

She just too cute in this movie, I love Shirley

  • when i grow up i want to be like her......just i want to die of old age not penniless.....

  • Bless you for uploading this fine film in BLACK AND WHITE as it is meant to be!!!!

  • This is my favorite Shirley Temple movie, followed closely by "The little princess".

She gave us so much joy and happiness...I hope she's doing well.

    Thanks Shirley!!!!

  • I'm so glad these have been loaded. I grew up on Shirley Temple (which may or may not say something about me; something which may or may not be good!), particularly this and Heidi. I miss this kind of innocence. I didn't and still don't consider it corny or outdated in the least.

  • shirley always around a group of man

  • love her. but that guy dancing...just ruined this movie i think :/

  • @LoNaMuZiKe >... that guy? You mean Buddy Ebsen? Recall his roles in Walt Disney's "Davy Crockett" or TV's "The Beverly Hillbillies" (as Jed Clampett) or "Barnaby Jones". One of the great eccentric dancers of the 20th Century; he danced with Judy Garland in MGM's "Broadway Melody of 1938". Initially cast as the Scarecrow in "Wizard of Oz". When MGM decided he'd play the Tin Man instead, Ebsen had to drop out, due to a reaction with the aluminum makeup. He's great in "Codfish Ball"!

  • Thank you Univfoxx for posting this delightful movie "Captain January (1936) pt.1/8. What a grand way the movie begins with little, adorable Shirley Temple starting her day singing. She has such a radiant smile on her face and was celebrating a new day. The song was adorable. "Early Bird" Good morning, good morning! Nature hums when morning comes along; Day's dawning, stop yawning, And begin to join me in my song. Early bird up at break of day, Early bird sing the dark away,
  • THEY R USING THIS SONG IN A COMMERCIAL NOW....HOW CUTE

  • I Just saw this movie in color! It was truly heart felt! I'm a 28 year old male and I tear in the end of this movie. If I have kids someday, I will most definably put my kids into Shirley Temple Movies!

  • You're easy to please.

  • they colorized these in the late 80's early 90's and did a horrible job! So much clarity and resolution is lost and for a blondie like Shirley, her hair is the same color as her skin! Thanks for keeping it black and white! :)

  • so glad to see another prefer the original B&Ws ...

  • Ur right, I have almost all her videos and they were all colorized, and the quailty is kinda bad. FAIL!!!!!!!!!!
