Hi, i'm really interested in buying of of these bikes but i'm worried that i'm too small for it (leg wise) i'm about 5ft4" tall, will I be able to touch the ground when sat on the bike? Please help :)
Very nice machine you have there. The one we have here is a 2009 model that also does 70mph in a straight line with no wind and a 10 stone man on board. Fuel economy is excellent at pushing 100mpg. Not so good for long journeys however. You have to work the gearbox really hard on undulating country roads. But a great bike for learning on and a great commuter. I can highly recommend this bike - not least because the insurance is very reasonable.
@myrolfcopterr I'm 5'8 65KG and I can easily get 70MPH, head down 75MPH and the most I got with head down and going down hill is 80MPH but I was pretty much on the rev limiter. I have a 60 plate YBR.
@myrolfcopterr Hello mate! top speed is around 70, 75...this is no wind, straight line...this bike was stolen last september in Leeds and recovered set on fire...which im not complaining cause i was not happy with the performance in uk road...with a couple of hills and some wind the bike drop easy to 50...55 max...so i would recomend go for a 250 instead.....By the way, now i have a Suzuki gsx650f :)
@mscarazzini it's still good for a starter bike though, but i do see what you mean. I am still learning to ride properly but this bike seems to do the trick! :)
@mscarazzini i know you dont have the bike anymore mate, but i have just purchased a new one couple of months ago, you know when you state you get 70, 75, were you actually able to maintain that sort of speed. i can only maintain about 65 is give or take on mine, i broke the bike in according to the book, pretty gutted about the top speed, cos dont even weigh that much at all
@nimshad We've found that, although YBR-125 can do 70mph for short periods, it is most comfortable at between 50 and 60 mph. If you want more speed from a 125cc suggest you go for one with a 2-stroke motor that can be heavily tuned. I believe Aprilia makes a bike like this. But it's quite dear. Whereas the Yam YBR-125 and its current Honda equivalent are excellent value-for-money.

@jahid92 is thay de restricted?
WestMidlandAirsoft 9 months ago
@WestMidlandAirsoft Nope. The bike is totally standard, no mods whatsoever.
jahid92 9 months ago
@WestMidlandAirsoft De-restricted? A 10hp, 4 stroke 125cc? That doesn't need any restriction, it's slow enough as it is. It's no racing engine.
On the other hand, I EASILY get about 600 kms from a full tank on mine, 4/5 of which in town, with some careless driving now and then included.
