  • This is my All Time favorite story told by Wendy and I actually met Ralph Bennett years ago. Wendy Bagwell was the funniest person I had ever known.

  • This brings back many memories of listening to this on vinyl in the mid 70's. He was a funny guy! R.I.P. Wendy!

  • thank you michael, for introducing me to this comdey.

  • I first heard this about ten years ago when I lived in Tallahassee. As an old VW Bus owner (40 years ago), I have to say this is one of the funniest things I have ever heard.

  • This was from 1975, I believe.......My freshman year of High School. Brings back memories.

  • I never even saw one of those Volkswagen cars before we went all the way to Jacksonville, Florida. THIS IS CLASSIC! ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITES.

  • In my college days, had one of these "bugs". Driving home to the farm after class one afternoon, it started to sleet. Had to drive with one hand out the window scraping the ice from the windshield. Nearly froze to death at age 19!! By the time I got home, the entire glass was frozen over except for this one tiny little spot I kept clean with the scraper.

  • oh my! I was thinking of this Wendy Bagwell the other day...this is SO funny. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for Sharing these videos.

  • I wish every one of you could have known Wendy personally. He was one of the finest Christian men I ever knew and I can promise you that he never said anything with the intention of offending anyone. But he was smart enough to know that everybody didn't have a sense of humor but there was a bunch of people who would appreciate his sense of humor! He laughed all the way to the bank!!

  • smyrna is a little further from my house...Carrollton Ga

  • I love Wendy Bagwell. I am so glad to find this and I hope there are others!!

  • Does anyone have the Rattlesnake story to share? This one is great!

  • I am a serpent handling evangelist, I thought that one was a bit offensive. Yet he is very funny wendy was great

  • I'm sure it wasn't intended to be offensive. What's wrong with taking a joke as a joke?

  • RAH! I VOTE YES ~ hoping someone has a copy. It's SUPERB & all like my aunt-in-law who, sadly, TEMPT THE LORD by handling POISONOUS SNAKES despite HIS WORDS in spots like Matt 4:7 and end up BITTEN will face Him Whom they chose to defy; but, my aunt was fortunate enough to leave her ordeal w/ only a shriveled hand & fixed up a tale to ease her defiance. She decided the snake AIMED 4 the guy NEXT to her & got HER instead.

  • Thanks for putting this up I loved wendy's stories!

  • smyrna georgia is about 18 miles from my home., ROCKMART, GEORGIA

  • I like the one about when he went to the snake handling service.

  • I am a serpent handling evangelist, I thought that one was a bit offensive. Yet he is very funny wendy was great

  • Serving TRUE GOD always offends all who deceive others for personal gain as YOU admit doing so you "taking offense" is expected. But, don't you know ANY Scriptures but those stolen from context to serve deceptive motives? Phony preachers are the REASON so many souls will enter hell; & the LORD said He has a very SPECIAL place for them! WOE UNTO YOU for refusing to enter Heaven yourself; and, getting in the way so others can't go in! An HONEST Matt 4:7, 23:13 study will never favor your eternity!

  • Boy, I miss his stories, the German Police Dogs has to be one of his best though!

  • This is a very funny story
