The Beatles was big but they didn't change rock as much as other bands at that time. Beatles were the mainstream, the cute boys at the time. But The Rolling Stones, The Who, Cream and Jimi Hendrix where those who really changed rock. And U2 is one of the greatest and biggest bands to come out of the 80's and they still keeps on producing songs that top the charts. The Beatles might have been good but over rated in my opinion.

People always talk about "With or Without You" or "One" or "Pride (In The Name of Love)" when they talk about U2. Rarely do they mention this tune. I think this is one of their all-time bests. Wonderful accompaniment. Great arrangements. One of Bono's best performances. A brilliant song from one of the world's best bands ever.
