  • Anita said in an interview it was hard for her because with much of the band staying at Nellcote {Jagger stayed with Bianca about an hour away and Bill Wyman didn't stay there or play much either} and of course with the various junkies and hangers on Anita claimed she had to "organize things and cook sumptuous meals" etc. Shit. The closest she ever got to the kitchen was maybe boiling some water to sterilize a few needles. They got thrown out of France. All the young kitchen help became junkies.

  • They threw Graham Parsons out after awhile because he was being an azzhole. Anita used to put Mandrax in Keith's tea so he'd fall asleep and she could sleep with other guys. She was having an ongoing affair when all this was happening. They recorded downstairs in these little smelly rooms with no air. Very humid in the summer. The power would go out regularly. Keith had to go up every night to "put Marlon to bed" {shoot up.} Eventually all the "help" were addicted + the French threw the RS out.

  • So nice to hear this beautiful arrangement on the best Stones track ever! Those slide fills and horn fills are sparse but amazing. Piano working with the guitar perfectly. Mick Jagger knew just what to do with the vocals and really nailed it, too! All the parts were workin when this J. Miller production floated down from the heavens and sweetened our world. Many thanks , great imigary on the vid, salt of my earth. peace

  • Beautiful tune. Fantastic pics. I used to get stoned, put on a Stones record and look at pics like the ones on your video and dream of living the life of a rock star.

  • B-E-A-U-T-Y F-U-L-L wooowh awsome without the lyrics

  • What a stunningly beautiful instrumental... Amazing to see the musicianship hidden behind the vocal version; although obviously that version is mesmerizing also. Fabulous vid too. Such decadence! Ya gotta love the Stones: dirty rock 'n' roll with panache, millionaire addictions, cheap women, bohemian chic and the talent to pull it all off with a grin... And that's before we get to the bit about Altamont. Incredible legacy.

  • beautiful!

  • i believe they should of left the background solos in because that sounds so kick ass! but anyways regardless this song will melt your ears!

  • @windriaanspailboat that is some cosmic shit dude, I dig it.

  • I would almost agree to a funeral, if this is played at it. I like the lyric version, but for the song our life is? I like to feel life as floating melody. Let others put words to it when I'm dead. Or at least can stop breathing finally.

  • Nice video. I'd seen all the pictures before {except for the first one of Jagger/Richard} but the definition and clarity of your presentation was exceptional. Well done.

  • math, physics, history, chemistry, mechanics, science, classical music [mozart, beethoven], art history et cetera are lectured at universities. let it loose, shine a light, i got the blues are as fundamental as air, water and love for human kind. how empty is life without ever understanding those? with these songs, one is never alone. a life line. thank you.

  • @windriaanspailboat VERY COOL WORDS agree on your line: "a life line"..Ah YeaH i relate!!
