SuperLyrics4you yes she can sing or she would not have a recording contract on a major label. It is that simple. You and others may not like her voice, but she can sing because any unbiased professional will tell you the same thing. Will she be a success? Who knows. I doubt this album will be, but they will try at least one more before they throw in the towel depending on what the final sales numbers are for this one. I expect the next one will contain more songs she wrote or helped write.
Maybe she's not a great singer but she's good, and I think it's awesome she's singing live. And in the new under pressure episode, she sings part of this song and actually sounds like the recording. So even if she's not great, she did a really good job here. Especially for the instruments being so loud and/or the mic being low.
Nobody should be doubting Selena can sing because she can. However I don't think her voice is strong enough for live performances to be heard over the instruments of the band. She could be heard just fine in her video for Falling Down, but that is done with those huge sound boards in the studio so they can bring her voice out more. Of course the sound guy at this club could have just sucked at his job too or there were poor acoustics. Overall I think her voice is too weak, but she still can sing

Shes a hard working 17 year old that wants to move on to bigger things not just entertaining 7 year olds. I support her 100%. Selena copies miley 100% by the way she acts and talks. Selena never used a sothern accent before, and NOW she is saying ya'll and stuff like that. MILEY. Shes messes around w/ her bandmates hair. ok Selena is an AWESOME actress, and should be doing more acting jobs b/c she is NOT cut out to be a singer. Her voice is fake, the songs she writes are porlly mostly written by her band. this was a small venue..not a whole stadium..they prob soundchecked it and it sounded fine cause no one was there..than when she sang with the band and people screaming u couldn't here her..she has a good voice..or else she wuldn't have a contract..and she sure as hell wuldn't sing live! i heard he r on dancing with the stars and i thought she was good! u haters really need to hate on someone who deserves it like the minister who said stuff bout interratial couples! come one!!!

SuperLyrics4you yes she can sing or she would not have a recording contract on a major label. It is that simple. You and others may not like her voice, but she can sing because any unbiased professional will tell you the same thing. Will she be a success? Who knows. I doubt this album will be, but they will try at least one more before they throw in the towel depending on what the final sales numbers are for this one. I expect the next one will contain more songs she wrote or helped write.

Maybe she's not a great singer but she's good, and I think it's awesome she's singing live. And in the new under pressure episode, she sings part of this song and actually sounds like the recording. So even if she's not great, she did a really good job here. Especially for the instruments being so loud and/or the mic being low.

Nobody should be doubting Selena can sing because she can. However I don't think her voice is strong enough for live performances to be heard over the instruments of the band. She could be heard just fine in her video for Falling Down, but that is done with those huge sound boards in the studio so they can bring her voice out more. Of course the sound guy at this club could have just sucked at his job too or there were poor acoustics. Overall I think her voice is too weak, but she still can sing
