yes fightsharkfishing24 but there are good scuba accident sites on the web too. try the myscubastory site. They have all sorts of dive stories and accident videos there. type myscubasory into google and its the first one. enjoy
While I commend you on posting up a video which shows some of the great diving available in Cozumel, I would highly suggest that the divers featured in the video, and perhaps the diving operation itself, work to improve their diving techniques. There is way too much "Hand Paddling" going on, which speaks of a generally low level of comfort in the environment.
Also, I am positive that the divers featured in this video are not certified by PADI or NAUI as advanced divers (you can see it in how they behave), and on that note by the Dive Operator taking you to a depth of 80 ft, they are violating the statutes set forth by PADI and NAUI for a safe depth limitation for those divers with a basic open water certification, and as a result, should be subject to having their operating license revoked.
I'm going to Cozumel in a couple of weeks - are there video services that will rent or sell inexpensive water cameras or people that will video tape you under water? This is an experience that I would like to have and keep memories of it.
A bit of an ascent warning on ur comp. Spend more time on the safety stop, great views for 20 ft. I see more sharks, rays and turtles from above.....Great dive....
ive been scuba diving loads of times its only dangourous if ur with sharks poisinus animals and u dont look at your meter belive me i wa the same wen i wanted lessons i prefer the pool because sometimes underwater u like seee somet and it like scares u but i only go to british watars ive seeen 12ft basking sharks theres nowt to be scared of like i sed look at ur meter every 50 to 10 mins and ull love it
More people are killed by lighting strikes every year, than scuba diving. When the unfortunate happens its becasue of human error, not equipment failure. I have scuba dived for 38 years (on & off) with maybe 6 months off in the in between years. I was born accident prone, yet never had an accident underwater, I feel more safe underwater, than I do walking down the street LOL. get certified and have an adventure of a life time.
@soccerboyconna9. Diving is not dangerous if you know what your doing. you never go diving if you feel the situation is too advanced for you. theres basic guidelines to follow. Dont hold your breath, dont go deeper than 130ft on air (if qualified to do so), plan the dive with tables, dont dive alone, and talk to people who have dived the area that you plan on diving. lung over expansion can only happen if you hold your breath while swimming to the surface.
Scuba diving is not dangerous if you have training to do so. I have dove 10 times in the past week and I love it. unless my drysuit leaks. Theres tons to see under the water, and id recomend getting certified to all.
I`m PADI divemaster 262603, scuba diving is very safe as long as you have proper training. been diving for more than 20 years and I have never seen a fatality.
I just officially certified today! #1 rule, make sure you clear the ear pressure. i didnt take it seriously and my certifacation was delayed two months due to barrow trauma. btw, Japan is a gorgeous place, i noticed after my first day :D
