when I first started plucking my eyebrows, my mom did it for me because I didn't want to mess it up lol, but now I do it 100% on my own, no proffesionals, nothing, I don't want a pro because they don't know exactly how I want my eyebrows to look you know? Everyone always says that my eyebrows are PERFECT haha. I never fill in my brows unless I somehow over pluck
wow u did it really well for your first time with string! but your eyebrows rock! lol i cut my finger the first time i tryed threading it :P XP but very cool to see!!
Ooo..I love threading! ^^ It is sooo fun...it took me like a day to master it. Lol...I practiced on my thigh hairs. Hee hee...I also practiced on my dad's hairy arm when he was sleeping. =o
its amazing you can do this on yourself.....i've even asked the lady that does my eyebrows, and she has someone thread her eyebrows, too!! thanks for a great tutorial. ima have to try it.
Great tutorial! I checked out a few on here, but yours is definitely the best. I love the definition you gave your brows... I'm definitely going to be giving this a shot today.
It is a little bit tricky! I can usually do one side fine, then the other gives me trouble & I can't seem to get the hand motions & string to cooperate!
If you find you are grabbing hairs you don't want to pluck, just stop & reposition the string.
hey i have a thick eyebrow. so what do you think I should do to it. I tried a couple of things but it didnt work. So if you have any respond please tell me... Thanks for the video Great job
yeah i tried for the first time tonight too.. i pinched myself like 4 times.. but i think i was using the wrong kind of thread.. i could be wrong and in denial that i have no idea wtf im doing =) lol
i would never try this myself. or atleast i would do a video. but u did a really good job. keep those eyebrows fierce. ill still be paying my 13 dollars to get them threaded :]
wow girl that's awesome!.. true..I can really tell the difference. Guess I'm gonna start trying..first with my mom or someone else just in case i screw! just kidding..
Goodness you make it look easy, I get it done- and I could never imagine tackling it myself. Great job, for an amateur; I have had my face and arms done- it def. adds to the suspension of hair growth/and I just do daily maintenance. My husband even had a little cleanup, he was impressed by the technique alone. (it was cheap in Orlando Fl, but I know it can be expensive)
at the mall its 10 dollars but im hesitante i never got my eyebrows done before coz the looked perfect all the time people even asked me if i got my eyebrows done wen i smooth vaseline over them....but now im bout to be 19 at the end of the month and now my brows are starting to slightly get out of order...so i dont kno if i should have it waxed for my first time or threaded !
nope, any kind of cotton or nylon tread... or whatever else they are made of. It's just sewing tread from the craft store. (or walmart/target, etc...)
I'm so jealous you can do it, I couldn't do this... after like 10 minutes of trying. I saw some lady get her chin done and was like, 'whoa.' hahaha. and your eyebrows are freaking hot! Amazing first time! :]
I have never tried waxing. I have no pain, personally. I cannot imagine it's any different than waxing because they do the exact same thing - yank the hairs out by the roots.
i love threading. i only thread on the top part of my eyebrows because im not good enough yet to shape the bottom part. but its easier and faster on those little hairs
Awesome job! Thank you so much for sharing this!! I've never seen anyone do it on themselves, I'm totally going to try this! You're eyebrows look great, love the arch!!
i always get mine done in a salon. it never crossed my mind i could do it on mine own lol.... still scared i could f-them up lol. thanx for the great vid
Girl, you did an excellent job at this for trying the first time. I saw Eily do hers and was wanting to do it but was scared, lol. I am gonna definitely try it though. What I saw on yours was that you can actually get a long line of hairs all at once, which is easier than tweezing!
Very cool! I just watched Eily311's vid earlier this week and started playing around with it but I'm still getting the hang of it. I think my nails actually get it the way so that sucks but I'm determined to make it work! It looks like you use more thread than she did so I may try that and see if it works better for me. I can save so much money if I learn to perfect this :)
Wow. That was the best threading tutorial I've seen. It's hard to believe that was your first time. I've lost my tweezers and I am going to try this method myself, I'm inspired. I love your tutorials.
every time i tweeze my eyebrows i sneeze! I have to get them waked because i will sneeze like a million times if i tweeze. I can only imagine what would happen if i tried to do this... Does anyone else sneeze when they tweeze? maybe i am just weird
OMG i cant believe you did that on yourself! It looks great! Thanks for doing this vid i always wondered how it worked! I'm too scared to do it to myself, maybe I'll con my boyfriend into letting me practice on his arm, LOL.
LOL no, I sort of had the same trouble... it's tricky trying to do it in a mirror! ;) Just have to go slow & practice, practice, practice!! ;) I was getting cramps in my hands after a while cuz i couldn't get the movements right myself lol
ouch it hurts! I don't have enough skill to do my brows. I will just take my usual lazy way and wax until I have more skill. Good job for your first time.
I wouldn't think it could hurt much more than waxing, but I guess it's all personal preference ;) LOL Feels okay to me, I don't have any pain with it. But I've been plucking for like 17 years & I am totally used to the feel of it.
I'd never heard of eyebrow threading before...so I was thinking a needle and thread or something i was like uhm? lol but this makes much more sense now. I'm gonna hafta try it lol
When you twist the string a few times it makes that little twisty thing at the center.... and that part is what grabs the hairs & yanks them out. When you get a hair between the "V", then pull with the opposite hand, it pulls that twisty section over the hair, the hair becomes tangled in the twist & gets yanked out ;) Something like that anyway. LOL Hope that made sense.
I guess it depends on your personal pain tolerance... It doesn't hurt me at all. I barely feel it... but then again, I've been plucking for probably 17 years so I am very used to it ;)
I have recently watched threading vids too and also tried it myself....and I LOVE IT...I just have to get more practice! I agree with you, much better than tweezing.
