what makes this song live is the chunky eighth note guitar effect, and also the guitar chord work to give it and edge. numan said in the concert program that he was "committed to using the guitar more in his songs" I went to this concert in 1981 in mt hometown...best experience of my life...it was not just a concert, it was watching something surreal, an alien encounter perhaps...you left the theatre saying to yourself what the h--- did I just see? it was out of this world

The chord changes are wicked in this piece (all over the place hehe)-though the original ARP synth sound on the Telekon album in the chorus is better.I was only 9 when this concert took place so was a bit too young to attend (mum wouldn't let me go...boohoo) & I also missed the recent Telekon mini-tour (double boohoo).Great album though,thanks!!
