  • dude nice collection i love ww2 stuff

  • im sorry its a great collection and all but before you talk about the stuff, learn about each piece. the Helmet is a regular police most likely. It might be SS police becouse of the swastika SS right side decal. I may be wrong although. But great collection.

  • kid find ebay

  • @pepsi4815162342 most of this is sentimental so idk unless its something small idk. the helmets to much.. not included here is a Luger P08 all matching parts with the original owners manual. my aunt owns it but in the future me and my dad will be given it she said she doesnt want it.

  • I like it!All of it!

  • that helmet is a repro

  • @sinnett65 your comment is full of fallacy. This was brought home from the war by my grandfather, you cant say its not real.

  • its gestapo commander helmet

  • @T72joker no its not its Luftshultz helmet

  • @popsnacks2 then if you know what it is, why ask?

  • @popsnacks2 police helmet actually. the left side decal is a police decal. You also have a police cap badge that matches the decal.

  • @TheSkinnyTwig your right. turns out it was Luftshultz at one point which explains the missing decal on the front and the police decal on the side

  • 400 dollar ;o) never give this away!

  • The helmet has a value for us in Germany to € 170-300.

depending on the buyer. in the U.S. worth more. the right purchasing. ;o)

  • @jidojaaksen85 i dont know how to convert Marks to dollars but i will see and i'd never sell anyways my grandpa confiscated this from someone along with 2 other helmets and that swastika flag and penent

  • @popsnacks2 !!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats a lot of money haha.. wow thanks for the info and by the way if you are from germany your english is very good. also this video is way out dated so if you would like i will make a new one sometime this week

  • luftshutz helmet! later used from the police (navy- yellow coloure)

mine search badge, navy artillery badge, infantry assault badge, General assault badge and i see an Police cap eagle.

    more questions?

    nice day

  • @jidojaaksen85 hahah this videos old i have a lot mroe stuff and is the luft shultz valuable?

  • hey think i know what your helmet is , a m40 beaded luftshutz helmet the police decals look like post add ons just do to were they are on the helmet ive seen both variatons combat police and luftshutz but both ????? not sure

  • the german helment is a german officer helment it could be worth 100 to 500

  • @sniper28t1 that would explain why my grandpa brought back a Luger. If he encountered the officer the officer most likely took the helmet off gave it to my grandpa and threw in a Luger as well!

  • @popsnacks2 well you are lucky because the officer helmet most of the officer helmet were took by are men but most of them would dresses up as them if they were behind enemy line and when they got to are base they would brun the helmet and ever thing had on well would like to see more and tell you what it is worth and did your grandpa was in the marines or army

  • @sniper28t1 he was a tech sgt in what i believe is the 9th regiment of the army core of engineers D-Day plus 6. he was soldier/after action reporter giving reports on every patrol he lead. on one of his last patrol a german with a kar 98k took a crack at him from what he said to my dad was about 100- 150 yards. the bullet literally hit the ground directly in front of my grandpa's left bug toe but missed him. We own the ammo belt the german wore along with his helmet. if you want, il make a vid.

  • @popsnacks2 ok i will like to see another video and tell your grandpa that i said if he is still alive that he is a very lucky man my grandpa was in the german war with the army so would like to talk in you have facebook

  • @sniper28t1 oh,my grandpa's been dead since like 1993 or 92. its weird because we have his dress uniform ad everything down do his boot camp dungarees. we also have a pair of binoculars from that same German officer who gave my grandpa the helmet, Luger and those binoculars. the flag i was holding was from a raid in berlin where they raided a German occupied stronghold! if you wanna consider it my grandpa was a looter lol, always looking for souvenirs! il make a video either tonight or tommaro

  • @sniper28t1 The luger was suppose to be inherited by my dad but at the time my dad did not have the proper storage [safe] so he gave it to my aunt who had a huge gun safe. and with my older brother on the way he decided it was smartest not to have a gun in the house. back in the 60's my grandpa still had the original bullets but when my dad was a kid my grandma decided to take the ORIGINAL bullets to the police station to be destroyed! the luger seems to be in firing condition last i saw, ttyl

  • @sniper28t1 jep only with the emblem on it (on the front)

  • @sniper28t1 This is not an officers helmet! they NEVER produced exclusive officer helmets...

  • @hetsar this was also almost two years ago... i didnt know that

  • i believe the helmet was an ceremonial helmet only to be used by luftwaffe personnel on ceremonies like big ralies and stuff in nurenberg.

  • @patomalo1990 well its a luftshultz helmet and since my grandpa died and since before that never talked about it we dont know for sure what it would belong to but it is possible

  • I think the german helmet is fake

  • @Kaiza490 believe me its not a fake. my grandpa brought it back from the war literally in his hands he killed the man who wore it. even with that said we got it checked out its 100% authentic!

  • The German helmet is a an ex "luftschutz" helmet, which looks to have been converted into an SS Police helmet. The luftschutz decal is the insignia you can see on the front which has been worn away. The luftschutz were basically the Air Protection Warning Service (Luftschutzwarndienst-LSW) and was a civilian organization who warned the population of impending air raid attacks. The bead that runs around the helmet was so people could recognize the wearer as part of this service and not a soldier

  • The swastika and other decal you see on the side means "Police". Could have been a police combat unit but unlikely. It's possible those are fake decals, if you take it to a militaria dealer he'll be able to tell you :-)

  • @azone76 this videos almost a year old and have long since discovered this helmet is authentic and since then people have offered ridiculous prices like 400$. not to brag but the dealer i took it to tested it and its a real decal. thanks for the input though i appreciate it!

  • was your grampa a nazi or some shit. come on a nazi flag.

  • @newrepublicskate um no. he got the flag from a general dude , its worth about 300$ but its not for sale and i do not display it so none of us are nazis. if you said that to my grandpa i dont think you would be awake for the next couple days. he fuckin hated nazis.

  • should i get german or american gear

  • @zombiefilmmaker1 um. german gears more expensive and american gears definetly cheaper, but american helmets complete and restored are like 200 to 600 dollars ... its a wallet burner, but i prefer american,,,,,unless your going like german SS then its probably worth the money spent

  • Nice helmet! All I got from a vet family member was a couple of U.S silver spoons, but those are cool in their own way. Keep collectin

  • @47charlieboy hah well atleast you got something right?? who knows your grandparent could have gotten many of his souvenirs taken from other G.I s , it happened more frequently then you may think. my grandpa also shipped back a ships mates binoculars [huge things[ and got stolen

  • @popsnacks2 Yep agreed.

  • The helmet youve got is definatly ww2 it is a german luftshutz beaded helmet thats what the "ridge" is on the front you can clearly see where the decal would go but unfortunatly it was removed to generals orders after the war. The other decal is definatly post war. Im glad to see someone my age interested in collecting ww2 stuff. Very nice collection

  • @ANDREWCKY33 wow., im glad to some one my age is to interested in this stuff. and thank you again for the info i learned after wards it was luft shultz [air raid warden[ and the only catch is my grandpa got this in germany off a german who surrendered to him. so i am skeptical about the post war decal . he came home with this stuff [ some shipped during war] and what is not shown here is what my aunt has. my aunt has a real german luger all serial numbers match.again hope we can stay in touch!

  • Wow Man hey will you sell some of those German medals.

  • @resistall91 hmm you know, i don't know all depends on the prices and sentimental value. what i mean is i never met my grandpa who passed all this besides the pants to my dad then my dad to me basically. if you like i will make a "personal video" just on those medals like all we have, or possibly trade items depending on what we think is a fair deal? in conclusion i think we should stay in touch to work things out.

  • Hi nice collection yong man does the camera have any film in it can you tell with out opening it.

    Regards John

  • @TOPCAMERMAN .no you cannot tell without opening the camera, but it is know there is not ,sadly] .by the way thankyou i have other ww2 relics/memorabilia but that is ether with my aunt ,grandma etc thanks again~!
