the reason she has that tone to her voice

is cause she has nasal congestion

i have the samething so when i sing

my voice gets deep and sort of raspy.

its a good thing but also a bad thing

cause you cant hit the higher notes like would

if you didnt have nasal congestion but

the good thing is you are able to sound real smooth

and mature.
