That SCBA is a BG174. They are so much better than the Scott airpacks that firemen use. They are slowly being replaced by the BG4. It's shell is made of plastic and it is much lighter. Its a world class SCBA.
We have been working in an area right under a fault and the ground was real bad. It had been brought up many times but nothing was done and this was the ultimate result. The guys stuck together as a crew and did an awesome job. We are down there working right next to where it happened again, one drift over, trying to go around it. Is bad ground with a fault running through it but its high in ore so you get the picture.

actually ive been in the bg174 and the bg4 a little over 4 hours a few times each.

The pack is called a BG174 and it doesn't provide 4 hours of oxygen...it provides 2 1/2 if your lucky and your not breathing to hard.
