Hey rightwingman09 yes NU did have trouble with ISU. They played tough and didn't quit. Unlike your team that looks good one game and then goes in the tank the next. Didn't you loose to Minnesota, Northwestern, Arizona and should have lost to Indiana. Yeah you know. What happened in the Wisconsin game? Great clock management by your PROFESSIONAL COACH. In football it is little things that seperate the great teams...that is why I know we will beat you on a consistent basis.

I don't see it and yes kirk is a great developer of talent and can coach up players, but why is it when the heat is on you that you simply choke. 1985, 2002 and last year when you were ranked #9 in the country went down to Arizona and choked. @EllaChase Iowa was 5-5 from 2000-2009 against Iowa State, Nebraska was 7-3. That's a pretty substantial difference.

Also, consider something else here. No one would dispute that Nebraska was worse during that 10 year period than at any time in the last half century. However they still pulled off a winning record vs ISU during that time, and never lost more than one in a row. Iowa on the other hand lost 5 in a row to ISU and was 3-7 against them during their "down" time. Think about it.

Its not a rivalry until Iowa proves they can play with Nebraska. I like the effort at trying to equalize the players that have played at both institutions as well as the tradition, but the reality is...things are quite lopsided and probably won't get any better for Iowa this year in Lincoln.
