When you put too much importance to the way an animation looks or flows, you take away from the important things like plot development and compelling character interaction.

They don't become as important or endearing as the ones from the past because back in the day animators didn't have such sophisticated graphics. They had to rely on what they had at the time which allowed for them to develop their artwork to have more substance and obvious sincerety.

I always watched Mr. Bumpy when i was kid. Hell, he was the whole reason i longed for saturday morning cartoons. He was the king!! Him, Squishy, and miss molly.

I kinda had a crush on molly. :)

Man, I really miss those days when cartoons actually meant something. When they had real class. These days - whether it's the damn FCC, parent complaints, or the recent improvements on animating technology - they only rely on toilet humor, breif nudity, and lame akward moments.

Because Disney's run by a bunch of idiots.

Seriously, though, I think I heard the reason why this show unfortunately got cancelled was because in the mid to late 90s, when Disney bought out the ABC network, they cancelled ALL the non- Disney shows on it(Including Bump in the Night) so that they could fill ABC's lineup with their own programming. Needless to say, that decision sucked.
