I decided to look into the poll you mentioned. I wanted to see ALL of the stats, but the writers of the article did not include ALL of the data. instead here is the only thing they say about white republicans:

"Lots of Republicans harbor prejudices, too, but the survey found they weren't voting against Obama because of his race. Most Republicans wouldn't vote for any Democrat for president—white, black or brown."

I would like to see the data to back up this claim.

the person behind that AP "poll" was none other than ron fournier. who has been shown to have a chummy relationship with karl rove. from one of their email exchanges published in a congressional report:
