@web2graphics What you're talking about can get complicated quickly. Item 1 is easy (simply tick off permissions to allow users to create that content type).
@rickmanelius Thanks for the directions. I might switch to joomla. choosing between drupal and joomla is hard and an important decision for me at this point. your video and replies helped
@web2graphics No problem! I've never really used Joomla as I consider drupal a swiss army knife that can make anything, but I'm glad I at least helped steer you into the decision that was right for you.
@web2graphics You would need to provide more details. If you're trying to create a 'classfied ad type', you can do that out of the box in drupal 7. You just need to place it in the appropriate areas and attach the correct fields to it.
Thanks, it is indeed. i just downloaded the trial version so cool
I wonder if there is a similar program for software design, where each box would represent a module of our software. We could click on the box and list the details, input output etc.
I am about to setup a classified website using drupal and i am just afraid of getting lost inside the software flow, issue tracking etc.
Thank for your prompt reply. Here is more detail:
-users can register and post ads.
- can upload multiple images for an ad,by selecting multiple images from local hard and uploading them all at once ( not one by one)
- users can enter their city and see ads for that city
- integrating a module to detect the user’s town from IP, or postal/zip code
- google map
- each category different template. e,g books only 6 fields but cars need 10 fields ( some of which drop-down, some check box , etc)

Multiple image upload (check image_fpupload module)
User filtering could be done via some taxonomy filter with views using a field attached to a user.
Google maps can be added fairly standard
Different templates. That's going to take some thinking. Your use case is not a simple one, even if it sounds simple!

You may want to try omni outliner. It's super impresive and better for flow diagrams versus mind maps.
If you need something more technical, fireworks is ok.
