Anytime anyone redlines their engine, you can rest assured that they are trying as hard as they can and are pushing the gas pedal down FULLY. You are niave if you think this is a 3/4 throttle pull. This video is on a flat road, the other video is downhill, GARANTEED. This car just isn't that quick. Last one at the local 1/4 ran 15.5 @ 93 mph.

that 15.5 @ 93mph has got to have a shit driver (or he can't keep it in lift), my 1988 celica can match that time, i have 45 less HP and a few hundred pounds of weight more, AND i have one less gear.

And yes in some places the later Celica GTS's will go faster than 15.5 @ 93 but this is Arizona, we don't have that pussy air like they do in new england, california and other places. It takes balls to even hit a 14.9 here.

dude it doesn't matter when you leave the light, the time starts AFTER you take off. Atleast the track i go to has that. For example, Grand Nationals weight like 10 seconds after the green light tryin to build boost till they take off and it doesn't affect their time, just if they win or lose the race.

I've gotten my 05 Celica GT-S up to 215 Km/h or 135 Miles sustained for about 3 minutes. Ahh, Alberta Roads! I passed about 4 cars. They were speeding, but to me, they seemed to be standing still. My only gripe about my car is the lack of low-end torque.
Like the vids. I have a Celica 1.8 vvti. whats the top speed u have had it at. A have had mine at 120 and always run out of road but i know it could do alot more.
I there m8 have no fear. I live in England and own the VVTI. I fitted a simple TOYO sport induction kit (worth £50 in total). It took me about 1hr to fit but the results were amazing. I could only hit 120 like you but now the car will happily go on to 135 and I reckon it has more to give in 6th gear if i have enough road :)
can you gimme a couple pros and cons for the celica gts and the mitsubishi eclipse plz? im really trying to outway the differences its a tough decision. thx.
GTS all the way! 'clipse's not really known for their reliability and Toyota's got alot more aftermarket support. fun as hell to drive too (and 70% of all Mitsu owners are women for some reason lol)

I have a 2000 celica GT. Its no race car. Slow as fuck. Celicas are economy cars. Go ahead and waste your money on exhaust and intake and headers and all that shit. You arent getting shit out of that engine. Sell it or engine swap it.

yea same goes for every car, top model are just bout 1G-3G off, if you buy a car always get the top model one for example instead of the corrola S get the Corrola XRS or something like that cuz its got the GTS engine in it.

i got my celica gt-s up to 150 mph before i ran outta road...i honestly did not think it would do that...my test was done on the freeway at 2 in tha mornin...i saw prolly 6 cars the whole time...and by the way fuck hondas....the only honda you could ever even get me to drive is the s2000 other then that FUCK THAT SHIT...

I've gotten my 05 Celica GT-S up to 215 Km/h or 135 Miles sustained for about 3 minutes. Ahh, Alberta Roads! I passed about 4 cars. They were speeding, but to me, they seemed to be standing still. My only gripe about my car is the lack of low-end torque.

The better Celica years are the 2000-2001. They had the 8000rpm redline while the others had only a 7000rpm redline.

I there m8 have no fear. I live in England and own the VVTI. I fitted a simple TOYO sport induction kit (worth £50 in total). It took me about 1hr to fit but the results were amazing. I could only hit 120 like you but now the car will happily go on to 135 and I reckon it has more to give in 6th gear if i have enough road :)

GTS all the way! 'clipse's not really known for their reliability and Toyota's got alot more aftermarket support. fun as hell to drive too (and 70% of all Mitsu owners are women for some reason lol)
