Compact fluorescent burning out

You shouldn't use a CFL bulb in a fixture like this unless they are rated for that use. They'll overheat and burn out because there's no air movement to cool it.

I have a ceiling fan in my room, I have put 4 bulbs in it in the past 4 weeks (regular, not energy efficient). What could be wrong?

I have had incidents with those things crapping out as soon as 2 days after they are purchased and used.

Ive had on burn out on me, i opened up the base only to find 4 componets black and burnt!!!

we have a cfl in the pole light on the putside of our house and that thing burns every nite and its lasted 3 years so far

These Should Last Longer If They Are Not Dimmed OR Are Left On For Over 3 Hours. They Will Last 5 Years

This light bulb was already about 5 years old, so it was getting to be time for it to go out
