If u live in ATL, CA, DC or TX u can easily make a living out of promotional modeling. Conventions,auto shows and alcohol promotions pay between $25-$45/hr.The models who study Marketing take it more seriously than others because they understand better how a promotional model affects a marketing strategy. It's an easy gig for the ones who don't understand anything about it but if u know your Marketing, u know it takes a lot more than smiling and handing out things to be good at what u do.

I just got hired to do a promotion for Olay and Im nervous its my first promotion and their is a minimum of 8 sales for that day any tips to be a good salesman without being too pushy?

@ilikefast69 : try to stay away from promotions that require selling. The concept behind promotional modeling is to engage the consumer in an unforgettable experience with the brand, not short-term sales. Now since you're already taking on this promo, make sure your approach is confident, but not too firm, else it's going to come across as invasive.

@ilikefast69: The point is always show the consumer that the brand you represent wants nothing but the best for them. If you approach them right away trying to sell, the consumer will think "she just wants my money". Approach them as if you just want them to feel your product and focus on how amazing the product is (if it is), no strings attached.

@ilikefast69 : Then when they are engaged, you mention that they are available for sale and give out pricing options. However, be as genuine as possible in everything you say. The more "scripted" you sound, the more you will push away the consumer. Look him in the eye, smile and show passion for the product. Show that you really believe in it. Use it on yourself if you can and show the client what it does to your own skin and allow the consumer to sample the product. B4 making the sale, screen

@ilikefast69 : your consumer to see what type of person he/she is, what type of product he/she uses or likes so you know exactly what to recommend. Be confident as if you were a specialist in the product. People do believe your word when you show confidence because they believe you work directly for the brand you represent. I hope it helps.

I looove promo modeling. I have worked so many events. Im working one this Thursday as the fake girlfriend of The King(the burger king guy)visiting wounded soldiers in San Antonio. I'm making 75 an hour!! Some jobs are bad and some are really good!
