Hello, I would really like some advice on Cubase 6 if you can help. When I record guitar into cubase, I won't hear the tone of the guitar, all I can hear is the actual guitar, but on playback it plays distortion and effects all fine. Can't I make it so it plays how I want to hear it without even recording? You know what I mean?
@harku123 There is an option in Cubase (I don't use 6, but I'm sure it's in all editions) called "Direct Monitoring". It sounds like you have this enabled, and will always hear the input BEFORE Cubase, instead of the output FROM Cubase. Make sure this option is unticked, click the speaker icon on your channel, and it should apply inserts/sends etc.
@reinforcedpenisstem Thank you very much for replying, I already just happened to figure it out about an hour ago. I'm fairly new to DAWs and I got Cubase recently, but thank you very much my friend
