Not sure if that kills em insatntly, though the nervous system is near where he stabbed (and maybe is right where he stabbed) do a "chop" that does not go through the other side on his belly, with the blade going from head to ass on the underside, takes out all of his nervous system and any movements will only last about ~5 seconds max after that, just twitch movements after death.
