That's where we skim board too! We come over from the Southern Gulf Islands just to take in a couple of days chilling at White Rock beach and boarding. Thank goodness Grandma only lives just up from the beach. Heading over next weekend.

Put a harness on the dog, and a really long leash (1/4" line)...

Dogs love to run, and enjoy pulling.

But use a chest harness, not a collar.

i have had a skim board for like 2 years but yesterday was my first time using it. im ok at it like i can ballance ok but i was at a beach and i could only do it in really really shallow water like when the wave went back in and it was like a quarter of an inch deep. i didnt even know you could do it in any deeper. and can you actually skim board on waves?

Uh, yeah. But you cant use a wooden board.

you need a fiberglass board which is usually over 100$. They have more concave making it easier to jump of waves and float without losing speed.

if you have a long one(that looks like a suf board) but your supposed to use in an inch or less of water.

Well, I am not driving a whole day to get there when I have the beach like 15min away right now. Would like to go to Tofino and probably will this summer at least once. More for windsurfing there though.

OMG.... you don't get it! ugh most of the shots in this little clip are of the skimmer skimming. It's not supposed to be the best skmimming as that is clearly not the case. It's to show the creative art behind the actual video and its cut. try being more observant next time.

Yea, thanks.... well where we are located there are no waves so you have to take what you can get. The rides can be nice and long sometimes if its flat and long.

I want to try to hit some waves this summer.

I used the DVX100a camera shooting at 24p. I would say it has allot to do with the type of compression I used as well. Being a professional has its advantages.
