T.C. Bear, the Twins' mascot, is actually based on the mascot for Hamms Beer. The company had a bear mascot with commercials in the 60's and 70's celebrating the beer from "The Land of Sky Blue Waters." Since Hamms and the bear were identified with the team, it made sense to model T.C. after it.
