  • Hello there Please check out my video tutorial called Guitar Pro 6 tutorial "Notating chords and strumming patterns". If you still need help, just let me know by replying.

  • HEY @GuitarPro6tutorials help me, look, i have a melody, and i want to add chords, and i add them, but when i press play, i only hear the melody and not the chords :P , sorry for my english, i'm argentinian

  • mine doesnt look ilke that at all when i tried it

  • Thanks a lot. Does anybody know how to just write the chord name ( like just the letter C) over an already written melody line - the way it's done in most song books?

I can't figure out how to do this..

  • @Lindhofguitar Press a to bring up the chord tool. Choose a chord and then un check the "Use chord diagram" option. Happy chording:)

  • I'd love to finally figure out how to plays my own notes down rather than selecting just chords... I don't see how I can make the songs I want to make now...

  • @TheDeathOfChaos

    (guitar tab)

Click on the string in the guitar tab then enter the number of the fret you want. Change the note values by pressing the + and - keys.

    (standard notation)

Click on the staff where you want to add notes and change the note values by pressin gthe + and - keys.

Let me know if this helps. Don't forget to watch the other 39 videos I have postes so far.

    More to come:)

  • ty for this video im not the best with a pc but your instructions seem easy to follow, i will try happy birthday to see how i do. would love for you to show the chords and strum for maria elana -los indios tabajarras, Once again ty

  • More videos to come!

  • @bananakid9 I am happy you are enjoying the videos:) That is a very nice song indeed. The chords to this song are basic and will not be a problem to figure out. However, in my experience I find playing a basic strumming pattern is better than trying to notate all the strumming directions exactly as they are played on the recording. I could do a video on the chords and a basic strumming pattern. You can reply at my channel if you like. Thanks Stephen

  • You are very welcome:) I am happy the videos are helping. More videos to come. Don't forget to click on the thumbs up or down. Stephen

  • thanks! this was amazingly helpful. your a great teacher.

  • More please!

This is the type of tutorial I like! I have been showing my students this in regards to extending chords when composing (as not all of them can play keyboard)

  • Oh and since I can't find a forums on the official site, is it possible to import midi you have been creating on another DAW into GP6 and it will notate/TAB it?

  • Update: Please check out the bulletin on my channel regaurding getSatisfaction. This is a great place to ask questions and post ideas about Guitar Pro 6 software. The Arobas team and community there are very helpfull. My alias there is musicman. Hope to see you there. Thanks

  • @mrwood5y Many more videos to come. I am working on a couple of different projects so I will post as frequently as I can. Thank you!
