  • idiot! Laren Hill with an english accent - whateva! as proved later with kanye - with one of the best songs ever - american boy - never get tired of it ...

  • @paulryan44 american boy is a will.i.am. beat! now you know! :D

  • i hate this version that's missing the first 3 1/2 bars!

  • Tyga - Cali Love sounds like this. (:

  • very real u can sing to me any time blik blink them haters DETORIT IN THE HOUSE OYA

  • i especially like 0:13 to 0:24 because everyone does a presidential stance and it looks so epic

  • WTF HAPPENED IN THE END!?

  • i prefered estelle like this :-/ hate it when artist change

  • what's that shit at the end

  • @capo2k8 Dont talk, hot song. Not into garage music but pretty good

  • heard she rap, had to check it out, Aha !

  • sounds like tyga-cali love

  • @Zballin13 same melody

  • @Zballin13 other way around, tyga used estelles beat.

  • estelle !!!!!!!!!!

  • thumbs up if ur listening in 2011

  • you can put that thumb of yours up your batty.

  • good tune,good tune <3 feel good song :D

  • estelles best work... NO DOUBT!!

  • I miss old estelle

  • The part when she said I touch africa and came back darker, that means her ansetors in africa been tooken from africa and bring to United Kingdom or America.

  • @blackevegurl tooken?

  • @blackevegurl who are you talking to?

  • @blackevegurl No - Black people in the UK are descended from "immigrants", not slaves.

  • both slave and immigrants learn human history not the bullshit they teach at school

  • black people in the UK are both descendants of slaves AND immigrants for the most part. Moreover a significant number of blacks in liverpool have actually been in the UK for nearly 200 years.

  • @blackevegurl Black people from the UK are mostly from the Caribbean and West Africa. But there are some blacks that have been in the UK for centuries.

  • I like Estelle's music but she needs a style consultant.

  • @tubeyhamster you need to consult the shallow persona you call self !

  • Loved this song as soon as I heard it.

    xxx

  • 1981 was better cos i arrived PS RACIST BITCH!

  • i remeber estelle played at 02 in the park in 2004, dem wer d best days a my life 04 was d best year a my life, wish i didn fuck everytn up :(

  • OH YEAH !!!!

  • can anyone make the cali love version instrumental fo rme?

  • N!!!!!!!!!!!CE

  • why you all comparing her to some kid called 'Lauryn Hill'? Shes ESTELLE.

  • @naomimonks You don't know who Lauryn Hill is? pssssh

  • @mountjarvis no i actually dont:L sorry.

  • OMFGG!!!!

Tyga's "Cali Love" was sampled either from this song or the original.

Can anyone tell me what the sample is, if there's any?

  • This is Estelle

  • this song was the one

  • Basically Lauryn Hill with an English accent

  • @fiftytimez If you're talking about Estelle...nah. She is nowhre near Lauryn. At least not from what I've heard.

  • @fiftytimez No, Estelle aint racist.

  • this was my fuckin songgq!!

  • M.C.KCLMNOP.CODE.1.2.3. ZULUNATION BRONX EXEMPLE 1980 ORIGNAL U.T.F.O. CREW

  • porridge is nice. if you didnt like it estelle then you should of bought some bacon instead of those nike trainers.

  • Estelle is nice!

  • Love the clapping bit when she's talking about church. Anyone who grew up in similar circumstances totally gets that :-)

  • @jonatasunderground its "Don't Talk" by Estelle

  • She's probably an oild soul with all the undesirable traits long ago dying in the fields of life.

  • rap is basically a flawed medium - why would you replace melody with repetitive chanting? my only exception is debbie harry :)

  • @firestartertwistedfi Don't present your opinion as fact. This so-called "flawed medium" is doing quite well.

  • @firestartertwistedfi You know not all music is based around melody right? There has been music based around rhythm as long as people have been making music. Hip-hop is based on a rhythmic vocal delivery as opposed to a melodic vocal delivery, that doesn't make it any less musical.

  • The name of the second song please ...=D

  • @babybottom57 no. lauryn hill is so legendary on the hip hop scene.

  • F*ck this American shit .. . Estelle needs to come back to this !

  • Soul-mamma! Can it be better?

  • da bomb.

  • im not feelin estelle but she certainly does come correct. this tune is dope.

  • wow...im a fan now

  • this song is so dope wow estelle

  • I REMEMBER THIS! same estelle that sang that American Girl? Mind= blown.

  • I agree......very cool i loVed

  • @babybottom57 I agree

  • @babybottom57 I agree

  • Anyone know the sample?

  • Lovin this Nubian Queen!!

  • tune

  • me and my friend decided that we think she reminds us of ms dynamite, but the she looks alot like missy elliot especially in this video.

  • I remember this tune!

  • @babybottom57 Totally agree. She's the british version of her lol

  • @Collegebball19 Not At ALL. Lauryn hill had raw talent unmatched by almost anyone and certainly not estelle.

  • @partsmet Well, that's your opinion. Personally, I think they both have raw talent unmatched and distinct all their own. I'm a huge fan of both of them

  • @Collegebball19 Well that's your opinion. In reality, Estelle isn't anywhere near to Lauryn. Lauryn had the most real lyrics of any female rapper, singing about things well beyond Estelles Capabilities.

  • @partsmet And that's also your opinion. You don't have to argue with me. I like them both lol

  • Strange how Estelle went from spitting with Out Da Ville to US superstar......fair play to her

  • roxanne shante

  • she has a strong accent where is she from originally

  • @thesunwillshineonme she's from london

  • estelle has forgotten about us in the uk.

  • she is amaizing love this track. sums life up well. lol this is how REAL londerners talk.... most americas can't get the lingo.... although having a convo with somebody that speaks like that is just bloody irritating!!!

  • I could listen to this song 24 / 7 and not get tired of it.

  • @gregtdmorrison you say that now but after a day or two

  • 1980 year that God made me too :)... she saw £50 last for 3 months.... damn!

  • love the instrumental but don't like female rap

  • @babybottom57 music wise but looks wise nope

  • i love how she practiclly tells a story about her whole life and in the 1980s just through a song

  • this track is fresh

  • I LOOVEE that she can flow, and the fact that its something relevant. YAAAY for VERSATILITY!

  • @NerdMeech precisely, she is very talented!

  • great tune

  • love the 80s. love her accent.

  • i want her but cant have her...grrrrrrrrr~

  • yeah shes the british version of lauryn hill, i like this estelle better

  • The days when she kept her clothes on...

  • bangerrrr

  • big tune!

  • this is actually the most amazing song ever! love it love it love it!!! <3

  • her sisters is in that video i use to go to there house all the time

  • what album is this from

  • @babybottom57 . So funny u said that. Because her album is one of my favs after the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (#1) . I don't know what it is but she just reminds me of L. Boogie.

  • I didnt know she can rap....i been missing out

  • wish she would go back to this...I'm not really feeling the new stuff she's doing. Great number still :)

  • I was born in 1981 in a dirt poor family on a council estate. This is exactly what life was like especially the 50 quid lasting 3 months solid

  • 1980. That's the year I was born!!

  • love the song. it would be better without the part at 310, just remove it and it would be perfect.

  • yeah that bit really is shit, dosn;t go at all with the rest of the song

  • "I got my first pair of nikes, we were still eating porridge" hmm well maybe you should prioritise your spending a little bit?!

  • I love her ol' spittin' days. You are right.she does remind me of Lauryn Hill as well,a cockney version of her.Glad she doin' her ting across the pond.wish she was still rhymin' not singing but she is ok,still.
