  • sorry to hear about your loss. i respect your decision, but had it been me, i would have surgically removed the tumor. likelihood of survival would still be rather low, but it may have viven him a chance.

  • a tumor im guessing?

  • Fish with cancer... Sorry, but lol. I dont hear that everyday XDD

  • That's sad I have a black moor look at me:(

  • i had one exactly like that!

  • Tragic... he was a beautiful fish. :-(

  • i have had my fish for 9 years now...

  • what cause this???

  • i love black moor goldfish

  • nah mate dont worry i think my fish had this like two weeks ago? only i noticed it earlier i think that maybe you havn't noticed it and it's just grown and grown. all i did was use that disease safe stuff and it worked fine:)

  • i wonder why they die quick my one just died his tails started to come of and poof thenext day he was upside down

  • @MetalCarrotKid That probably would have been fin rot

  • @MetalCarrotKid mine knew me for one day.:( next day bottem of water upside down

  • @smileyflyz SAME!

  • is this common for black moors? cause mine got it but we saved him but then his eye fell of...... he lasted 4 years with no eye.:/

  • @ScienceFreak320

the missing eye was most likely from an old wound, when you have black moor, the tank cant have anybut but gravle and a few plants, nothing else.

  • POOR FISH

  • Poor guy. Very pretty fish.i recently added a baby black moor to my tank and named him Alfredo. Search goldfish surgery. a goldfish with a tumor was saved when his owners anesthetized him and put water in his gills while they took him out of the tank and cut off the tumor

  • Sorry for your loss.

  • It could be a tumor?

  • YOWCH gotta hurt and I have a black moor too :) his name is shadow :)

  • @BakBro1945 shadow died X'(

  • @BakBro1945 :( RIP Shadow

  • @ihatejustinblowjob thank you but almost all of my fish died now, there is only one left out of 6

  • Oh my god. So pretty. :] except the growth...

  • kill

  • why did you say it looked nasty

it looked exactly like his eye lol.

  • the fish from Mordor, Sauron's pet.

  • trust me its cancer u have to get it removed first u get a bowl of water put anesthetic in it then put the fish in it once its under take it out and use a scalpul to remove it then after its all done put him back in the tank but dunk him in water every so often during surgery and put stress coat in and anything that repairs fins and body it may bleed a little but no a lot but if u dont want to do it take him to the vet and have them take a little of it off if cancer fish needs sugery immediatly

  • i think it is

  • id think hes feeling to well...... well i need some help on my fish mr. wise eyes..... give some advice! :D

  • those type scare me cause of their huge delacate eyes

  • My black moor is laying at the bottom of the fish tank up right and not swimming is he sick? and there is stuff coming out of his butt.

  • what a gorgeous fish. :D poor thing. you were so lucky to have such a precious fishy

  • my black moor has this too.he also turned gold about 6months before this started. where he earned his name micheal jackson. were very concerned

  • it has genetail warts......lol jk it just looks like a growth

  • why not go to a vet?

  • @TheGodMasterful Fish can have cancer google it.

  • I have two black moors. they both go into an outdoor pond all summer and come into a tank in the fall until spring. They are with at least a dozen other goldfish and are fine. They are a little dumb though because their vision is bad, but are fed well. One is changing colour the other is black. They are 3 years old at least. THe growth on your fish is from a shallow gene pool... not cancer....

  • can black moor fish live with a red cap oranda and a orange telescope?

  • Yes they can i have a red cap oranda and black moor in a 3 gallon tank and they have become friends.Basically they are getting along swimmingly.haha.Hope you have fun fishkeeping,Austin.

  • @venomss98

A three gallon tank is WAY too small. Goldfish need a 20 gallon plus 10 gallon per each additional goldfish. It is cruel to expect them to live and be HEALTHY in that small of a tank. You should have at least a 30 gallon tank for those fish to grow properly. They also produce A LOT of waste! They also get between 6 inches and a foot. Goldfish can also live up to 40 years with proper care so it is unfair to them to slowly kill them in a small tank.

  • yes :)

  • can regular goldfish live with black goldfish

  • Well it is not recommended for regular goldfish such as Common Goldfish live with the black goldfish which are the Black Moor because the Common Goldfish are much faster swimmers than the Moors.

  • very nice fish, but those stones are ugly as shit

  • black moors are cool :D

iv got a big fat one and a really skinny one with massive eyes. looks really weird lol

  • i just got two fish today and one is a black moor. i hope this doesent happen to my fishy! D:

  • Cancer? It's not cancer. Probably just some moor telescopic eyes attempting to grow on your fish.!!

  • I have a 2 and a half year old Black Moor Goldfish that has had a small like pea shaped bump on its back similar to this Fish, just not as bad. I dont know what it is. It is such a beautiful fish,

    Any reccomendations?

    thanks

  • i think it's a tumour, or maybe just a random cyst or something :S

very pretty fish by the way x

  • its a tumor...

  • its not a Tuummoorr!!! (arny voice)

  • can i get a black moore goldfish with a bubble eye goldfish temporarily for a few months in a ten gallon?

  • I'd say, if they are both under 4 inches a piece and you clean the tank weekly, you may be able to pull it off. Make sure to cycle your tank first. I'd get one of the goldfish first, then wait about 2 weeks to make sure that the ammonia in your tank is stable. If it's stable you should be able to house both of them. But it's EXTREMELY important to watch your water quality. Buy some test strips.

To avoid any extra expense it would be better to buy the right size tank, 20 gal, at the start.

  • black moor is very sensitive

  • ur goldfish has a lump and "lumps" are something that human and animals can have! its cancer cells bilding up

  • pleas reply:

i loved my black moor. but one day i woke up and his EYE WAS MISSING. why id this happen??? he died from it.

  • Any other fish?

  • really my black moor was missing both eyes and it survived about 4 years i never liked the filter it took his or her sight away.

  • I got my black moor today and i hope it doesnt get what i called "Fish Lumps"!

  • poverino!!

  • How old is the Black Moor may i ask?

  • I'm sorry about your loss cowboybrod. It's always sad and painful to lose a friend. I have had my Black Moor for 4 days now and I've grown so attached to him already. He likes to be stroked =} Everytime I clean his aquarium, he come over to my hand so I can pet him =} I hope he lives a looooooong time =]

  • How would you know if a fish likes to be touched? Maybe you should do some research because touching a fish isn't healthy.

  • research to validate that claim is missing from your post.

  • whats that thing called where the bubbles are coming from? is that instead of a filter or do you need both?

  • That's an airstone. Just there to give extra oxygen to the tank. A filter is stil needed though, it's probably the most important part of having an aquarium. The bubbles are just there to make the fish happier. So yes, you need both.

  • my blackmoor has a tumour growing over its gill and its massive!

  • =( aww thats so sad

I would definitely cry if my moor got a tumor

  • im sorry about your black moor, they are so beautiful and very friendly.

  • woah, thats a really nice moor, to bad it got a tumor.

  • aww... I'm sorry... 2.5 years is a long time and I'd be really sad if mines die after that long, but from what i heard, having the black moor fin that long means that you've been giving it the best water quality and diet, that black moor must loved u for it :)

  • The easiest way to put a fish to sleep is cook water (to boiling state) then put the fish in there. It dies within a few seconds, much more humane than using that clove oil which takes 1/2 hour.

  • ouch

  • That's not "more humane." The clove oil is like anthestetic. You just pour some in the tank. It doesn't hurt them at all.

  • how do they get atumour and do they get it alot, becuase ive got one && im getting a bit worried.

  • ye its a tumour, it will kill it eventually, the only way to get rid is surgery but whats the point

  • A very beautfiul fish. I also had a black moor named Vic who passed on in January. Please rest assure your little big fish is in a better place and perhaps my Vic is swimming along side yours in the big aquarium in the sky.

  • that a toumor

  • Want a tissue thats your fault for not using a q tank... Dumb ass

  • such a beauty. try the vet to perform an operation. they do it everytime.

  • One of my ghost carp had a growth on its fin, so I cut it off, and the fins grown back with no sign of the growth. And where did you get a blackmoor with such big fins?

  • shoulda got him a freind

  • i've had really bad experience with black moore. they get stressed so easily. and they get ill so easily! i brought 4 black moores and one of them got ill it caught ick, i dont know how, any ways i never noticed since it hide al the time since it was ill and when it died all the fishes attacked him and it spread the disease and 8 of my fishes also died within a week

  • stress causes the ich

  • does it? it looked proper stressed out like i am during my exams. i've got a massive tank now and i brought another b.moor and it looks happy swimming every where. the other one used to just stay in one corner. thanks for the advice :)

  • You shouldn't tap the tank it stresses the fish out.

But im sorry for your loss.

  • ????

  • how old is it, and i hope it survies

  • thats a TOMBER !

  • aww this moore is such a cutie lol.

hope he managed to survive the mistery problem.

i am on about getting two black moores and a plek when i can at the moment tho i have got 15 year old gold fish that is still living and is very healthy he has only had minor problems such as: fungi once (on his head), white lumps on his tail and one at the moment on his pectoral fin and a fe scratches on himself tho darting into the side at speeds lol

    thought you wanted 2 kno

    thanks for the vid.

  • maybe hes getting another eye?

  • aw so sorry he was a cutie x

  • he looks reli old

  • moor's are bad about getting a cyst on them

  • This is coolkat and my fish is still alive and doing great! He never had any side effects and as of today no regrowth.Just thought you guys should know.

  • thats too bad. question though, will all black moores grow to be like that. with the massive fins and all. or is it kind of genetic to get that look

  • i think its genetic because mine has way shorter fins and he's almost fully grown

  • well that does look bad but if it didnt have that thing on it it is a beautiful fish i have a black moore but hes smaller and not as pretty

  • the same happened to me...he lived when i cut it off like Cookat225 said.

  • it may still live if you follow coolcat225s advice

  • Never knock on the glass or desk on which the tank is on, the sound is magnified under water and it could stress the fish out.

  • I can hardly believe I found this video, Your fish looks exactly like mine we made the decision to remove it. we quickly snipped the growth off. It was attached by a thin piece. We put him back in the water right away .he bled for 3 seconds he never showed any sign of distress and ate seconds after. .This was 3 days ago .I did a water change afterward and added stresscoat too along with the proper level of salt.I thought you would want to know

  • How's your fish doing now? Did he still make it?

  • he had to put him down. Very sad.

  • its too late its that big already do yourself a favor and let it be. Buy a new one...
