Still amazing all these years later. I rooted for her from the first show. Yeah she had some down performances but this... this was a once in a generation TV performance. And people have to remember the context that she had less than a week to arrange and rehearse before she sang on live TV. This performance was simply head ans shoulders above anything before or after it on the show, it was the high point. And its still amazing today.

I agree with other comments here that if you were fortunate enough to watch this LIVE, it was one of the best performances on tv ever. American Idol is pure garbage compared to Rockstar INXS. I always believed the guy who came in 2nd should have won. INXS would probably still be playing and making hits. Unfortunately they chose a druggie who ruined their comeback.

like where? Sounds okay to me. I read somewhere that people love working with her because she hits pitch immediately, without first starting and quickly rising up to the note which is very common in vocalists.

One interesting thing about it is I think it is the first time it have ever been performed live, including the choral part. When Queen did this song they would leave the stage and let the recording of them singing it (with over 100 overdubs) play. Suzie is great, RockStar was great, the House Band was great. YES, bring it back!

Okay, I thought the vocals were inferior to the original by Freddie Mercury, with the possible except of the transition into the rock break ("Beelzebub...."). That was sexy. I'm not even going to bother comparing or criticizing the opera part, since Queen never tried to perform it live. But I actually prefer many of the instrumentals of this version over Queen's.

Both of them are really good, but I still prefer the original; nobody can sing this song as expressively as Mercury did.

Very decent effort overall, It's not really a big deal for a woman to sing this song as it fits in their natural vocal range. Real beauty is for a man to sing this range in modal voice without getting into falsetto. And Fredie is the man and it is much more than the range when he sings it.. the magic in the voice..
