  • He tells the guy at the end,"get one of these you'll play better".Must of went to his house to sell a pool cue.

  • lmao... did u see that!! << priceless!!! the way he earl says it

  • i swear earl always sounds like hes drunk haha

  • earl. shut up!

  • He sounds like Mater from Car's xD He really is a beast player though.

  • he really wants that mountain dew haha

  • sorry, JOHN... we are fresh out of free mountain DEW for you...you gona have to race me for one, buddy...

  • Earl is the man. The haters just don't realize that.

  • does anyone knows why earl is not married?? Maybe bcuz he don't have a female cue to call his own....lol

  • @lover2k6 hes not married cuz he can get any woman, he doesn't have to be with only 1 woman.

  • and i'll take that mountain dew !!!!!!

  • i do believe earl could educate many pool players if his attitude was to standard all the time! and my favorite part of this video is at the end when johnny say HEY IM GONNA TAKE THAT MOUNTAIN DEW! lol

  • sorry earl strickland is such a dick i wouldnt let him in my house! johnny on the other hand is more than welcome awesome guy i hear!

would love to meet johnny some day!

  • @bigdhustler10 well, you are right about Johnny Archer, but when it comes to your opinion of Earl Strickland, all I can say is that his behavior was first class in his visit to my home, shooting pool, and during dinner...

  • Hey 'am gon take dat mou'ain dew

  • Such a great player, even Johnny is there. Simple explanation to the shot: The cue ball hits the rail not in a straight angle because of the curve produced by the power lateral draw.

  • johnny archer took that mtn. dew

  • @BibleBurnr yeah, a real riot, eh? I had heard that Johnny Archer was a real Mountain Dew addict, so I put in a big supply just for him. He drank a bunch while he was there, and on the way out he took the leftovers! By the way, Johnny's a really nice guy. Earl was on his best behavior too. We all had a great time!

  • "Pool is a beautiful game played by ugly people!"

    ROFLMAO!

  • Earl you are a Legend, your are my favorite player of all time...you made the game what it is today...i love your attitude whe you play...your crazy antics... all your run ins with those snooshker players.. anyone whom bad mouths you earl are either shit at pool and are norrow minded...

  • post a video of you shooting the exact same shot and scratching in the corner pocket if it is that easy then

  • haha I'll take that mountain dew

  • No disrespect to any pool players but this is such an easy shot. I don't get what the big deal is.

  • @snookerloopy08 he is teaching how to learn and control you shot. notice how he scrathces on the first shot, then on the second shot he tries to scratch in the opposite pocket. basically he shhots the same shot with two different strokes

  • @snookerloopy08 Take a video of it then, lol. I'll be waiting.

  • imma take that mountain dew! archer lol

  • lol @ "I'll take that Mountain Dew"

  • Ok, I read the comments and their manager contacted you, but how?

  • sounds like earl was a little tipsy that night LOL too funny.... johnny I beleive is gonna take that mtn. dew as well LOL

  • Johnny Archer is going to take that Mountain Dew, apparently.

  • oh and mikie get some orange slice soda for me when i come through. lol! jk

  • ive made this shot before after i saw bustamante teach it to some girl on another youtube vid. went to the pool table the next day and set it up, first try. zinnngggg. its one of my favorite shots for sure. in fact i like going to the short rail just before the corner pocket and one more rail out for the nine.

  • I love listening to Earl talk. He's hilarious, but can be a dick sometimes. That's what I like about him. I'm so jealous that you got to have them over as house guests to show you a few things.

  • After seeing this on here, I set this shot up for Mike Dechaine, and he made it to perfection on the very first try. Split the hole, and made the one rail scratch in the near corner pocket. 9' Gold Crown with 760 Simonis and double shimmed pockets. I told him before hand it was Earl's favorite, and a tough shot too. Mike is a very good player.

  • How did you get in touch with such legends and Archer, Stickland and Varner?

  • Actually, their tour manager got in touch with me and asked if I would like to attend their exhibition when in San Diego, and I suggested a private party, just for me, and they went for it. How cool is that!

  • That is really cool. I wish I could do that. Although, my older brother could actually compete with them. He's been invited to the national 14.1 straight pool tournament in Atlantic city 2 years in a row.

  • strickland put on an exiblition saturday night 1-16- 10-------with mike shmidt us open champ and it was in iowa-------earls got a ton of talent

  • If you really watch this stroke with the sound off you realize that the stroke speed is not that great. It's just that it's perfect.

  • Archer must really like mountain dew.

  • Thats an OBSCENE amount of not only draw, but 'right'. I've never hit a ball like that on accident, and I'd estimate that in my years of practice i've probably hit over 5 million (not even at all an exaggeration) balls.

  • you dont see that often on youtube lol

  • poetry in motion. probably a handful of players in the world who can make the cue ball dance like that, that is a sick draw shot just unbelievable how consistanly earl has pulled out shot like this in crucial big pressuew games thats y for me hes the greatest player ever n my personal favourite, how awsome would it be havin earl round ur house

  • Great stroke. It was a spin shot as well as a draw shot.

  • How the did u get the guys to come to ur housE?

  • I was lucky! They were in town on the day before the start of their Legends and Champions tour of the west coast. They had nothing else going on, so their promoter called me to see if I would like a private lesson, so I said "Heck, yeah!".

  • 9 US open championships. Enough said. this guy is an AMAZING pool player. his attitude is a little wonky, but his pool skills are second to none

  • misspent youth

  • He's gonna take that Mountain Dew. Lol.

  • ''Hey, I'm going to take that mountain dew'' - Archer :D

  • Earl has slowed down on the tournament tour but is now teamed up with johnny archer doing exebitions and clinics all over the US. They are put on by a guy name of Mark Cantrell. They will be in the midwest for a while yet and then annouce the next tour. I belive it will be in the south east.

  • Yeah After Hurricane Ike Arhcer and Strickland were supose to do a exebition in Houston but do to the Damages in Houston that they could not reschedule another exebtion its a bummer and its great to see these guys.

  • what happened to earl strickland? someone told me he quit. i think hes the most colorful player out there and really exciting to watch. always stirring up trouble and stuff lol. Anyone have any updates?

  • There was an interview with him and he was saying that he doesn't get invited to many tourneys because of his behavior. I personally like earl all the rants he does is because he says he's trying to preserve the sport. I dunno I just like watching his ability on the table.

  • @oddvious1 ive been seeing him in alot of the tourneys here in florida. i believe he lives in merrick park.

  • When Earl was here at my place, and at dinner, he was a complete gentleman, and it was a pleasure to meet him, and to shoot pool and learn from him. He took great care in his teaching. It was a fantastic experience!

  • lol

  • wow!
