Thank you! It is never too late to learn. My 4 year old is still learning and using signs to communicate with her sister, and to play games with me (the "I can communicate without talking" game). It's a lot of fun, and less work than you might think!
Kids have such an amazing capacity for knowledge and this little cutie more than proves that! My son is 3 years old and has ASD,we've just been advised to start using sign with him, he only knows a couple of signs but it's so exciting to finally get a glimpse of what he's thinking! I just posted a video response. My daughter Misty has nowhere near as many signs as Kira (very impressive!) but she does have a dozen or so. :)
