This was actually a solid draft year. Tyson Chandler, Pau Gasol, Shane Battier, Joe Johnson, Zach Randolph, Tony Parker, Gilbert Arenas. Definately not as awesome as '84, '96, or '03 but it did produce some good players.

Battier and Chandler was probably much better than Brown and it is true. Chandler not a scoring type but has much more success as a defender than Brown. And Battier has gone on and done very well. Curry wasn't too bad himself but had trouble later in his life. He's still better than Brown though

Wow, if only he'd played 3 or 4 years at college he could've been really good. I think that the difference between high school and NBA was just way too overwhelming for Kwame and as a result he started playing really badly which likely killed his confidence. Low confidence = low performance, and I'm sure if he went to college he would've had much more experience and he'd be more ready to produce well at the NBA level. I'm sure if he was playing great he'd be more motivated to work hard too.
