  • If you don't mind me asking, does your line of work involve you dealing with firearms?

  • Comment removed

  • Was wondering Why you do some of the things you do? Your scans are so fast as to be worthless, the intent was to look for other threats and to be able to engage. Also what do you do when you have to lock the bolt to the rear? I have had plenty of double feeds were just racking the bolt wouldn't work. And do you need to check the bolt on every stoppage drill? You speak of wasted movements, but you have a lot of them...

  • @MobileMarksmen I do lock the bolt to the rear on a double feed, i dunno why i didnt explain it better. i scan fast because i do everything fast, thats just how i am. I try to slow down most of the time. Also i chamber check to see what the issue is and take care of the problem right away. I do things the way i do bro i dunno what to tell you. It just works for me and i enjoy it. If you have a better way put out a video and i would be more than happy to watch and learn.

  • @cory07ink , will post the video, I don't have a girl in the video though...

  • What a nice place to shoot

  • My question is about your ammo. It's not apparent that you reload or at least I haven't heard it mentioned. Between you and Erika, you burn up a lot of ammo. I'm envious, but couldn't afford to heat up barrels the way you do. Can you you give us some insight on how/where you buy your ammo? Retail, bulk, online, etc.? Thanks. Safe shooting.

  • @ImainemanI Yeah man i buy bulk, and pretty much just where i find the best deals. We order once a month.

  • I've looked at many if not most of your videos and enjoy them. A comment and a question. The edge of the fields/woods where you do your shooting doesn't seem to offer much of a backdrop for safety. At least at the angle of many of your videos, it appears that there are just woods out behind where your metal and paper targets are set.

  • @ImainemanI There is about 5 miles of woods and hills back that way.

  • when did Erika get an Eotech

  • @zoomtread both are my rifles

  • did you tell her what SPORTS is., thats essentially what your doing., works good to get the acronym in her head to remember..

  • Do you work for Special Force or something?or just sport entertainment.

  • its important to hit the forward assist as a habit b/c this "extra movement" can very well save your life one day (unless all you do is shoot in ranges, which in that case thats cool)

  • @pumitaproductions No its not important at all. Waste of time and movement.. The forward assist is a waste of space on a good rifle..I've heard so many instructors say the same thing. If you want to hit it for extra value and take your grip off the rifle and waste time you dont have, well go for it

  • @cory07ink well the thing is it takes little to no extra movement or time to do so. while your moving your hand to the trigger you just tap the forward assist on the way there. not doing so is like not putting on your seat belt before you drive

  • @pumitaproductions only use the forward assist AFTER a mallfunction., not before., if the rifle is up and runnin good, it should never be needed..,

  • @MultiSr16 i dont know all the ins and outs, but at the CF we use C7s (basically m16s) and my instructors always insist we hit the forward assist. it could be the gun though. maybe the m16s/c7 have a tendency to jam in that sense

  • Good to see "Function" Drills....she does a great job....learning process...practice...this is where you "experience" the things you didn't think about...the physicality of it....etc. Good Job!! :-)

  • Bonnie and Clyde? Just kidding.

  • nice video

  • Next up is AK-47 training :) All you have to do is pull the trigger and enjoy LOl

  • In the military it's called S.P.O.R.T.S.

    Slap

    Pull

    Observe

    Release

    Tap

    Shoot

  • Glad to see Im not the only one who teaches my other these things! And btw, Ive said it before, but your rifle reloads are awesome.

  • thanks to your girl Erika my girl has finally been able to relate firearms and shooting to herself which means we can now both go to the range together and I can justify buying more gear haha! : ) thanks guys

  • @Gadsden556 Thats awesome!! You guys will have a blast out there! Thank you for watching

  • Hey Y'all another good video. Comment and question. Nice use of your safety and closing your cover. Are you using a different (non-standard) muzzle break/flash hider, or is just from your grip and stance? I see almost no muzzle movement, namely on doubles and triples.

  • @Delmarksman Yeah that's just the stock muzzle break.

  • If you are looking into reloading, just buy a Dillon 550. Don't waste your money on anything else, you won't be sorry.

  • @biguy525 Dillon is what we are looking into

  • @C172pilotdude If I recall correctly one is a 14.5" & the other is a 16" middy

  • @909prepper if you don't want to wait you can contact Bravo Concealment, they make a similar product with a 2 week turnaround. I have a couple of their holsters & never had a issue. They have a youtube channel check it out.

  • @jewpowers its actually a control thing! Helps with quicker target acquisition & muzzle rise.

  • That gun is so sick. Hey were you in military or something? If you dont mind me asking.

  • Hey, Cory do you make your own ammuniton out of used brass? I was just wondering if it's worth it to buy a home maker machine.

  • @15legit15 I dont, i buy bulk.. But i am looking into reloading

  • @cory07ink oh, i see sir

  • @cory07ink Hey, you can save a lot of money reloading... check out alliant powders, and a Lee Hand loader would do you well. I reload all of my bullets. It's great fun and worth the while. you need a good brain though because it deals with rocket science.

  • Erika is progressing nicely!

You're teaching her an extra step in the drill. The Army teaches SPORTS; Slap the magazine, Pull- bolt back, Observe - chamber, Release - bolt, Tap - forward assist. If it goes 'click,' you already know there is a problem. You don't need to observe it first, then go into the malfunction drill. I'm talking less than a second, but when the SHTF it could be a vital. That, and the Army like to give you a cool acronym to remember it.

  • is the positioning of your left hand a comfort thing or an efficiency thing?

  • @jewpowers I use that grip for more control over the rifle.

  • @cory07ink Oh okay cool, I had never seen it before.

  • Great drills,and vids guys,thanx!

  • cory: blah blah blah blah

erika: (in her mind) damn it i just want to shoot

  • @GunsCigsAndBeer haha only sometimes

  • cory thumbs up like that u take time to teach erica to shoot and erica props you shoot better than most guys out there keep shooting and god bless america

  • Great videos dude! Your helping me teach my daughters! Ericka is a real trooper too, better hang on to that one she's a keeper, lol! Keep them coming.

  • Great video as usual! What kind of charging handle is Erika running?

  • Awsome videos really enjoy the fact that your technique is clean and crisp and the SAME every time shows good practice my wife and I are getting into shooting

  • awwwweeeeeessssooommmemeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im putting my daughter to see this first thing after school tomorrow............

  • @brucebmendoza Great thank youu!

  • Does anyone know where I can get a holster for a Glock 23 that has a Surefire X300 weapon light on it?

  • @909prepper raven concealment holsters. 3-4 month wait time on getting it though. Well worth the wait.

  • Part of the real cast of Red Dawn ;)

  • I love minimalist AR-15s

  • that t2i is looking really nice. I just ordered the t3i. can't wait to use it.

  • hey Cory can you give me some suggestions on a good sling for my AR

  • sweet editing man. Hey what classes have you taken?

  • just a thought , some people have to do things differantly , maybe erika should "tap and charge " with her right hand "stronger " and more leverage , it's worth a try

  • You lucky, lucky man.

  • Is that a 20 inch or 18SPR?

  • Great exercise!! I know she'll get it, because she has a great teacher/mentor. Keep these vids coming! Thanks for sharing, take care.

  • Referring to "Sports?"

  • Comment removed

  • Great vid as always. Erika is doing extremely well, noticed she was having trouble with the bolt. Explain to her to pull directly to the rear, and not to be easy with it. Can't hurt that thing!

  • great vid, a lot of info for Erika to learn. On the double feed I'd like to say, if it is actually double feed... I'd add 1 more step of locking the bolt to the rear before ripping the mag out to clear the jam..so the bolt is not further mash the bullet in the chamber/ ejection area. Then continue to rack x3 to clear before adding the new magazine. keep up the great vids!

  • Forward assist is for assisting the bolt forward after you chamber your 1st round and after you do a brass check to make sure the round is properly chambered!

  • @g3seifert Not to get into a pissing contest but with a clean gun and clean ammo you don't "really" use the forward assist. Forward assist is for a round with a bent casing or one that has some dirt caked on it(say from crawling across the ground) that needs a little nudge being chambered. Yes it's there, yes you should know how to use it, yes you should use it on every mag change time permitting but for eliminating steps under fire it's fine to cut it out.

  • Nice vid! Keep going Erika!! You're doing a great job and picking up the drills fast.

Btw.. What are you guys using to film? DSLR?

  • Awesome teaching vids man...Ex military?

  • Iv seen it happen many times in training where dudes fail to lock the bolt back and they cant strip the mag because the bolt is putting so much pressure on the rounds, not tryna be a troll at all man, btw, it looks like u got u a UE tailcap and tape switch? If so im glad u found u one bro!! Gread vids! Cant wait for the next!!

  • @cory07ink bro, just wanted to add that the main step to clearing a double feed after youv observed the chamber is to lock the bolt to the rear, Then strip the mag, its the main step in clearing a doublefeed, it takes the pressure off the rounds allowing u to strip the mag!

  • Great video. Your right she will learn. Thanks for sharing...

  • Corey you ever run a battle comp 1.0?

  • @BAM9451 Thats what im getting for this new AR

  • @cory07ink sweet been eyeing one for awhile, just put my order through earlier. Cant wait to try it out. Love the channel man.

  • @BAM9451 sweet man, let me know how you like it

  • Cory do you reload your own ammo or buy in bulk?

  • @mick6701 Buy bulk, but looking into reloading

  • Awesomeness!!

  • Cory, your videos are very educational. Erika, doing a tap and rack drill with frozen hands has got to be difficult.

  • were you ever in the military corey?

  • @hockeybeast234 Yeah, most of everything ive learned has been after tho

  • Cory, you are one top notch dude. And your camera work and editing are also excellent.

  • i like your ar wat is the base i know the rails are troy rails right

  • @rushontherun The Ar Cory was using is Spikes tactical lower

  • @rushontherun Spikes lower Rock River upper

  • @cory07ink which spikes lower? Whathca think of the KAC Sr15?

  • What kind of chest rig are you running ?

  • @JQxSquared That a S.O.E AK/M4 rig

  • Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
