Honestly, there would've been no contest in real life. Spartans were heavily armored war machines. Cavemen were merely hunters. Great fighting and camera angles, but closer matches should be chosen. The Spartan would've been closer matched with a Samurai.

@FuryOfTheSwarm AOE luv that game and in the first original age of empires you could battle cavemen basically, with greek and roman soldiers. they should do a battle with doppelsoldner zweihanders vs. chinese changdao swordsman or japanese zanbato or Odachi (long sword) cavalry samurai all three used swords taller than the user.

I read that Prehistoric people would have 90% more muscle than Arnold Schwarzenegger (and thicker bones), and could also outrun Usain Bolt, so would make a worthy opponent to a lightly armed Spartan, even though Spartans would probably be tougher than most/all people today.

They were just that: homo neanderthalensis whereas we are "homo sapiens sapiens" ^^ as for toughness, they were extremely resilient compared to us, they could suffer mutliple bone fractures without being bothered too much. They were also a lot stronger than homo sapiens. Shorter, stouter, and surviving better in cold climate. Actually they remind me of dwarves :P
