nice but children should be chosen carefully their repertoire because at certain ages you play only the notes on the score and not the music and the feelings of a great masterpiece such as this one. Good job Maria!
@zacretz totally disagree i think children can play master pieces with feeling...actually they give music a purity that adults cannot because the latter is sullied whereas children are pure . How can you say that children lack feeling for goodness sake mendelssohn himself was child when he composed things...sorry rant over

Well, not bad, but nothing special... In Eastern Europe there are thousands of children playing better. And 13-14 years old. This Mendelssohn is out of tune, vibrato is allways the same, dynamic, no sensibillity...
That may be true, but why don't you try playing in front of a live audience. She was probably just really nervous. I could tell because in the high, long notes (particularly the harmonic A) her hands were shaking.
and there is always the first time or two that the person appears before an audience--and some people are more comfortable than others. A person who performs knows this and has discernment. Everyone has to learn and develop their own coping skills regarding performance-each individual will learn this at their own speed. She did a fine job and get more and more comfortable in front of an audience, as she does her performances will get even better.
this piece is a lot about emotion, which she puts into it a lot. From your comment it's clear that you aren't sensitive enough to feel the true emotion that she emits through her violin. She's good!
I thought for a minute that was the strad ex-Grumiaux, but now I realise this the Graurnerius one. I think its enough praise that her playing kind of reminds me of him. Franco-Belgian school all the way.

Well, in any case you're overly sensitive for criticism. Work on it...And try not to seek attention when you want to be left alone...;)

What a lucky young lady you are to play on a fine Cremonese instrument - but well deserved, of course!

Hey Maria...
Excuse me for having spoken that whole nonsense. You play very well, you have a lot of talent. You have a great future for the front. Success!
My sincere apologies...
