@alancastrian OH MY LORD!!!!! YOU JUST SOLVED A MYSTERY THATS BEEN HAUNTING ME FOR YEARS!!!!! "Whats the name of the song??" THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!
@Adam141516 Thanks - Mowing the lawn isn't too bad, it's the rest of the gardening that I hate. With regards to a hill tunnel it depends on whether the hill is alreay there or not. From 1.16 to 1.30 is one way to do it
@Sam14051 - Yes it is the water is piped under the canal from a small feeder, near the pond and it feeds into the canal from the tunnel at the bottom of the garden. To see more visit my website FGO at org.uk Model Railways, The Garden Canal.
@Sam14051 - The track is a mixture of LGB and Aristo Craft G scale track. The track and locos are powered and controlled with an LGB/Massoth digital Multi Train System . Each loco has a chip in it so it can be remotely controlled separately. This allows more than one engine to run at any time.
There are also three Roundhouse Live Steam Locos (with insulated wheels) again these are remotely controlled. These can be run at the same time as the all the other locos.
I seem to remember the music you have used on this video as being the theme tune to a monthly BBC radio programme in the '70s apprpriastely named.... Rail!
Not sure about that, but as you say it would have been a very apt piece of music. I do know that in 1956 it was used to introduce Morning Music, Heart O'London. Notes on the CD.
Many thanks for your compliments, but I wish it did only 2½ minutes to build, Ha Ha. Good Luck with your railway, I would like to see pictures as it develops if possible.
Wonderful, I was looking for ideas and you certainly have given me loads of them. My garden is not really big and I now feel that it is worth the effort even for my small garden. Thank You so much
Nice tune, would it be possible for me to get the name please?
