Dan Millman has a couple of good teachings but when I've asked him some profound questions (mainly about his certainty of GOD) he gave me poor answers and there's also obscure cult elements that bother's me...
@Svendar Research zen Buddhism he bases all of his teachings off of zazen. Its not really a cult its more a way of life. There are no dogmas no prayers and so on.
resistance to the /visiondream in Chinese Medicine causes blockages in the liver. Liver hormonally regulates the body, then you get angry and tightness in the liver and gallbladder channel. The liver fails to detoxify and you literally get poisonous. Breathing moves the liver qi. The cure to many diseases in in this philosophy. It's amazing how much people ignore mind over matter/body and believe only in more and more drugs in attempt to solve problems all created by the conscious mind. Look at antidepressant commercials and warnings, 'symptoms may worsen', 'thoughts of suicide may increase, consult your doctor'. The chemical imbalance of the brain is caused by confusion and not understanding what is truly important. I was one of them, now I'm happier and more carefree than anyone I personally know. I've found it.
drugs are more of a temporary fix, as they only alter neurotransmitters for a certain period of time. cognitive therapy, like you said, is a more permanent way of going about it. however, drugs work much faster, even if they aren't as effective.
Right, I've been in inpatient therapy 2x for 9 days as a teen, to which they were terrified at the thought m=of me reentering society, yet, here I am a solid rock more stable and intelligent then most around me, though misunderstood. Even therapy only goes as far as the therapist knowledge, which is mostly outdated book-smarts. Young minds do need guiding during these misleading times, I am ready to help, but don't know where to start, since my methods are not taught, and are unorthodox.
