  • andre looks so old u can just tell the way he walks

  • Okuma died on dec 27 just 24 days after this match !

  • @classie60 no hes not dead asshole

  • what year did andre, die? 93?

  • @NightmaresX111 Yeah, he actually passed in January of '93, so what you're seeing is the beginning of roughly the last month of his life. I'm amazed footage of a match so late in his life exists. I mean, I knew he wrestled more in '92 after disappearing from the then-WWF, but I had no clue he did so almost to the very end.

  • no telling, bro. But you are probably right, as I know his last few matches in japan, it was referenced that the injury happened in WWE, well WWF at the time, at the hands of earthquake. Which made me think that he really did take the megaphone shot and being that he was not in the best of health as it was, it got him down. Either way, he had a set on him to continue wrestling like he did,

  • 10 or more years before this, Andre would have took all three of those guys on by himself. He was at the VERY end here. He could barely walk. All he did the last 3 years of his life was two-man or three-man tag matches.

  • How did Okuma die?

  • may he rest in eternal peace.

  • Just looking at Andre here. The poor man couldnt even get to the ring without leaning on his partner. It's almost too sad to watch. RIP to the real Giant.

  • Terry Funk speaks VERY highly of both Fuchi and Okuma in his brilliant book, More Than Just Hardcore.

  • Yeah, thanks for posting this rare glimpse at Andre's last two months. I saw Andre's interview at Clash of Champions Sep 1992, where he was on crutches and could not stand. I can't believe he continued to wrestle for two more months in Japan. You can see in this match, he rarely leaves the ropes, and even his opponents are helping to hold him up during the match. And, he looks well over 600 lbs in this video. I can't imagine that in the US, he'd be permitted to wrestle in this condition.

  • @DanceDispatch This is kind of late, well real late actually, but I felt I should point it out anyways. After Wrestlemania 6, where he turned face again in the after match segment w/ Heenan, Andre never again wrestled for the WWF/E, or on a full time basis at all. He would only have 8 matches post the WM 6 match. Those particular matches took place in japan & mexico respectively & were worked with a knee injury he was suffering from caused by a megaphone shot to the knee via john tenta in 1991.

  • @JRocker69 i dont think that megaphone shot was real by the way, i think they were just pretending for the story. just saying....

  • @JRocker69 He was never injured at the hands of Earthquake. That was an angle to write Andre off of TV due to his ailing condition and further surgery!

  • Thank you for posting this!!! I was always a big Andre fan!

  • Andre was far from 'awesome' 4 or 5 years before this but his 70's work was excellent for a man his size.

    RIP Baba and Andre

  • This is so sad. Andre can barely stand, let alone wrestle.

  • Thank you for posting this video....This was Andre the Giant's 2nd to last match of his career....He wrestled his last match the next night in Nagoya, Japan (same match-up)

  • @owens550 yes, i also want to say thank you for posting this. I had never seen this match. According to the date, this was only about 7 weeks before Andre died. I was wondering if anyone has any of Andre's other matches late in his career. It is very sad to see this, though. It''s hard to believe it's the same person considering how awesome Andre was even just 4 or 5 years before this.

  • @ryansgame323

And sadly, on top of how close this was to Andre's death, it was even closer to the sudden passing of Motoshi Okuma, who died unexpectedly on December 27th, 1992. Only 24 days after this match. Thank you, however for this wonderful rarity!

  • @ryansgame323 go to Andre The Giant in Mexico on you tube.It has him wrestling in May of 1992.

He wrestled tag team or 6 man matches.
