You are a genius, Eric, never mind the little imperfections. However I do understand about perfectionism, which makes me wonder what editing software you're using?

If you use something like Final Cut try and play with the garbage matte filter, which allows you to turn the straight line of the split into a line with many kinks. Almost like a cookie cutter.

But again, your brilliance is obvious. I love your work!

ISDesigns, hi Ilja, aw, too kind. I don't know about genius but I do believe in rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. But even then once I'm in front of the camera it sometimes all goes to pot. I use a stand alone editing machine that I bought about eight years or so ago. It's called a Casablanca AvioDV. I bought it because at that time my computer was not up to using editing programs. Things have moved on since. MovieMaker even comes with windows XP for instance. All the best, Eric.

Your'e absolutely right though, and in fact I very nearly didn't upload it, there's so much I wasn't happy with, the split screen being only one of them. I found this one trickier than most because I wasn't totally comfortable with the electric uke bit, couldn't hear the guitar trough my earpiece and mis-judged my standing position. I'm a bit of a perfectionist most times but on this one I got a bit sloppy. Cont...

Part 2. I'd gone through the uke bit so many, and I mean SO MANY!!! times that when I did a take all the way through that I was fairly satisfied with I went with that. What I should have done is dumped it all and and started all over again, or at least done a bit more practice on the uke. One vid I did do where I moved the split is 'Another Suitacase etc' however my editing machine tends to show a blip when I move the split mid clip. Ah well, I'll keep at it till I get it right.
