It may be me being picky but why is she is putting on sterile gloves to clean the inner cannula? She has already contaminated the sterile field especially the solution when she was cleaning the trach site and face plate. She rummaged through the gauze and everything with non-sterile gloves and after she had touched the trach site and face plate. Why bother with sterile tech now?

your are not supposed to cut the tie at all because little strings could be aspirated into the trache and you are to put the new ties on while the old ones are in place to prevent dislodging the trache.
