hey man, great playing. Did u use an amp or a computer? because alot of videos just use a computer so im not sure if it would work as well on a regular guitar amp

I pluged it directly into my soundcard. But man, this machine is ever better when using with an amp. I use it with Marshal AVT 100 and it sounds really good!

The review is not that bad but... half of the tracks we heard were through the mic in the room and we lost the quality to hear. And you could add some more styles demos than metallica since not only heavy metal players would buy this box.

You can switch sound quickly, but in small intervale, like one sound up and down. And yes, you can get a descent rock' & roll sound from it :) But non digital thing can bring you the balls of the Marshall to you!

Whats better, a Zoom G1X or the Zoom G2.1U? and Why?

The sound procesor is the same in both, so the quality of the sound is also. I would say that Zoom G2.1u is better, cause it has more amp simulation and more effects. Probably G1X lacks of the most usable amp simulations, which sound the best, so the price is also lower.

I'd go with G2.1u for sure, cause it offers the most for it's price. But G1X is good this for it's price also if you don't want to pay the price of G2.

Have you ever tried the Zoom g9.2tt?

I bought it and it's like a Rack system

It has everything I need, even 2 twin tubes for a nice distortion lol!

I didn't play g9.2tt, i've only heard demos on the internet. I've got to say, that it sounds really good. But mainly, you can get very similliar sounds from G2 also, because it has the same sound procesor and most of amp simulations.

i have this and use it about 1 year..its incredible,and also cheap.but sometime really need to explore it..take sometime to get really nice tone.the eq need to be right,cause when jamming, sound its not very clear and muted by other instruments

I made this sound exactly as i said. I took a patch, lets say A1. Then i first choose AC and played around with settings. Then i set extra eq to Cb. And finaly, i played with EQ, compressor, and other parametres. Just try a little, i'm sure you can do it!

I just bought my zoom, can you please tell me how did you do the patch for the first acoustic that you play in this video. Zoom really sounds great & Im not kidding Zoom are a property of Samsung b4 now there independent, Feel free to check Samsung site.

Dude, it's just ordinary clean sound. You have to choose AC ( acoustic simulator ), you play a little with EQ and you choose CB ( cabinet ). And here it is!

The accoustic with delay sounds great, same with Enter Sandman, but Master of puppets has a lil' to much distortion.

Thanks for your frankness dude. You should hear Master of puppets sound recorded directly to my soundcard. No unwanted reverb, sounds much better, almost like original metallica sound. But i agree, thath it's maybe too much distortion in it.

So, you're looking for a effect, which would simulate whammy bar... Well, maybe you can do this, if you set your pedal for pitch shifter, and you shift a little up and down. And you have also other effects, which i think they could simulate such effect ( tremolo, ... ).

I hope i helped you. I dont think any other multieffects have such effect, so for this price, this is the bomb :)

I created most of my patches myself. I found other on the internet ( try write into google : Zoom G2.1u patches ). I don't have a good patch for RATM, because i don't play their music. But i'm sure, that you can find a good patch on the internet :)

Well dude, i don't have digitech and i've never played it, but for this price i doubt there is something better out at this time. You can get amazing sounds out of it, even better than in this video. Well actually way better :)

I made almost all those patches by myself. Most people which upload patches make them for using with the amp. You cannot use only one patch for recording and for use with your amp, because or it will have too much treble, or it would not sound good by recording.

I'm using my zoom through bass amp and it sounds good. So i can use patches for recording also.

My opinion is, that sound through usb is great, but through my ibanez bass amp, this zoom kicks ass. You've got to hear this, but with my recording stuff it would be hard to hear the quality of it's sound.

Ta stvar je sicer rešena, če kupiš dražje multiefekte iz te serije. Plus še lampo imajo vgrjeno.

If you're from Europe, the price is around 160 euros in the middle europe. I'm from Slovenia and here is around 180eur. It's a great pedal for this price.

It also have lots of functions i didn't manage to show like: built in tuner, lots of effects, great wah pedal, good drum machine, usb connection to computer, etc.
