Zespoly regionlane, prezentujace autentyczny folklor sa ciekawe ale na dluzsza mete niestety nudne. Nie doszukujmy sie wiec autentycznosci w zespole zawodowym typu Śląsk, bo jego funkcja jest inna!
Jesli chodzi o festiwal w Rzeszowie to sam jestem jego zwolennikiem- to fajna, komercyjna, miedzynarodowa impreza. Zawsze podziwiam wystepujace tam zespoly bo oprocz roznych stylow, prezentuja wysoki poziom artystyczny.

Twoj zespol tez jest stylizowany- przeciez wszystkie uklady maja narzucony charakterystyczny styl osoby, ktora je tworzyla. Chyba nie sa odzwierciedleniem zabaw ludu wiejskiego w danym regionie?!Wtedy nie bylby stylizowany!

Groups like Slask & Mazowsze NEVER claim to be authentic. It's stylized because it has to be. Would you sit thru an authentic concert? Boring! Do you think Riverdance is authentic? Yet you don't hear Irish people bashing them and millions of fans continue to see the show.
And the American born "my-great-great-grandfather-was-Polish-but-I-don't-speak-a-word-of-Polish-but-I-think-Polkas-Bobby Vinton-and-kielbasa-are-Polish" most definitely shouldn't be commenting on the authenticity of Slask.

This IS Slask, yes the music doesnt really sync with the recording here on youtube, but other than that, its Slask, an amazing group, Hell I followed them all across freakin north america and partied with them. I am not a góral expert, but the music in this performance is NOT authentic goralskie, but it was probaly NOT meant to be either, if u look at the way they dance and strech their toes as baletdancers, its NOT how goraledo it either BUT most of the dancers are probaly NOT gorale, BUT they are all dancers. So the thing about this Video is noting more nothing less then just simply what it is. This is a part of Slask performance in Toronto, where they presented tance goralskie ala Slask. Kropka.
the way slask represents gorale dancing on the stage is stylized and not in its original form, just got back from a dance and music collecting tour from zakopane and asked the locals (some of the better dancers there) what they thought of slasks gorale number and they just giggled.
is this a ukrainian group? no respectable polish group would dance gorale this way. looks more like a circus then how they would actually dance it in the village.
This is Slask...a pretty awsome group, but u are right its not traditional folk, but unbfortunately some folk ois getting really "poped up" so to speak I dont like it either. Keep it traditional!!

i have many gorale friends and have travelled to the region as well, having been invited on an collecting tour, and i can say without a shred of doubt that the gorale do not dance like the way they do on this video. the people in zakopane are much more ellegant and reserved and there dance and music is not what slask performs. i love gorale music and dance and it is a discredit to gorale culture what slask performs as gorale in their repertoire.
obviously you can still like slask for what they do, they have incredible dancers etc... but they should re title their gorale number, fantasy in a circus based loosely on gorale styles and not dances from zakopane.
jeśli się orientujesz to prawdziwi górali dawno wymarli a to co widzisz teraz w "zakopanem" to tylko namiastka starych, prawdziwych górali, pomijając już w ogóle fakt że zakopane dawno przestało być prawdziwym skansenem góralskim - nie wierz w to co widzisz bo to tylko przebierańcy którzy chcą zarobić na Tobie i innym przyjezdnych kasę...i zapamiętaj "Śląsk" pokazuje prawdziwy taniec góralski nie skalany komercją!

Górale nie mieszkają TYLKO w Zakopane (to bzdur) !!!
Tez są Górale Gorców, Tatr, Pienin, Beskidu Sadeckiego, Beskidu Sląskiego, Żywieckiego, Babiej Góry, z Bieszczad, i tak dalej...

Bo założeniem tego zespołu jest bycie 'baletem folklorystycznym'.
Chodzi o to, żeby wyglądać efektownie a nie autentycznie, bo tanców góralskich nikt nie zatańczy lepiej niż góral, tak samo jak kaszubskich etc...
A zespół odwala kawał dobrej roboty, wyglądają na scenie fantastycznie i publiczność całego świata to dostrzega.

This is Slask...a pretty awsome group, but u are right its not traditional folk, but unbfortunately some folk ois getting really "poped up" so to speak I dont like it either. Keep it traditional!!
